From the Iowa site...Chad favors Ohio State, saying he grew up a Buckeye fan. He will visit Pitt unofficially this weekend.

I'll see what I can find out about him. Not sure if the Ville has ever had a player go to OSU.
I believe that Drew Carter was from Strongsville. I will admit he went to tOSU as a sprinter that greavitataed to football, but I still think he was from Strongsvile.

One of the up and coming offensive linemen in Ohio is Strongsville’s Chad Schofield. We spoke with the Strongsville native Tuesday evening, and he filled us in on the latest with his recruitment.

Here was the interview:

BN: “How is the offseason going for you?”

“Yeah it’s going great. Our school has a program.”

BN: “You attended Ohio State the first day of spring practice, how did that go? ”

“It was pretty good. It went well. I just watched the offensive line and how they do things. ”

BN: “What teams are you interested in early in the recruiting process? ”

“I’m hearing from OSU, Michigan, Iowa, Kentucky , Pittsburgh, and Michigan State. Those are my top six. ”

BN: “Who has offered of those teams? ”

“Just Pittsburgh has offered. ”

BN: “Did you grow up rooting for or watching any particular team? ”

“Ohio State obviously. I went out to the fiesta bowl so that was pretty awesome. ”

BN: “What is your height, weight, and 40 time as of right now? ”

“I’m 6-4, 320 and about 5.3. ”

BN: “Have you scheduled any camps to attend this summer? ”

“I’m going to camp, but I don’t know where. ”

BN: “Have you been taking any unofficial visits this spring? ”

“I’ve been to Michigan, Michigan State, and Pittsburgh three times. I’d have to say Pittsburgh is my leader right now. ”

BN: “Do you plan to make an early decision or wait until after your senior season is complete to decide? ”

“ I don’t really know right now, I’m just waiting to see all the schools I can right now. ”

BN: “Has it caught up to you that you’re starting to receive a lot of attention? ”

“A little bit, but I’m getting used to it. ”

Ohio High Top 100 Countdown: 51-100
By Bucknuts.com Staff
Date: May 18, 2005

Who's the top football prospect in the state of Ohio? After that, who are the next 99? It's a tough question to answer and a tough task to try and answer it, but each year, Duane Long of Ohio High magazine rounds up piles of videotape, scouting reports, feedback from coaches, and more, in an attempt to come up with a list of the state's top 100 prospects. We are going to be counting down his first top 100 of 2005 over the next several days, starting today with the second half of the list.
