'06 OH OL Clark Crum (Virginia Tech signee)

Scout $

3/1/05

From IrishEyes.com...Clark visited ND for their junior day. He came away impressed with ND's new staff. As of right now, Clark has offers from Indiana and Miami of Ohio. He plans on visiting Indiana for their junior day as well. He plans to camp at OSU, Michigan, and ND. OSU is probably the team to beat if they offer.

Clark has offers from Illinois, Akron, Miami (Ohio), and Indiana. He is also hearing from Duke and Northwestern as he does hold over a 4.0 GPA. Clark will take the offers from the highly reputed academic institutions very seriously as he plans to get a good education. He expects more activity in the next few months.

What is the rule on pirated uniforms? Are HS' allowed to do it if it is only similar? Do they pay a fee to have similar uniforms? Is it technically illegal but never enforced?
Helmet designs and colors are not copyrightable unless the team name is the same and the uniforms are exactly the same. I think scUM got in a squawk about their stupid winged thing and lost. St. Paris Graham and Glenville both have helmets that are designed exactly like Georgia's, although w/ a different color scheme. Lebanon's helmets are the same design as Florida State's, but maroon instead of gold.

scUM South sued a high school team a few years back because the HS team was using the "U" logo, and made them take it off. Forget Miami.

Mili one of my friends from high school is the dline coach for that school. Union High in Tulsa OK. Miami made them put a break in the "U" so it was not exactly the same. It was weak. Their nickname is the Redskins, and their colors are red, black, and silver. Nothing close to Miami.

Clark enjoyed the Illinois Spring Game. He has offers from Boston College, Illinois, Indiana, Cincinnati, Akron, and Miami(Ohio), but is hearing from a number of schools including tOSU. He plans to camp this summer at tOSU, Michigan, and Notre Dame. Although he does not have a favorite, Notre Dame did make a favorable impression on Crum.

Ohio High Top 100 Countdown: 51-100
By Bucknuts.com Staff
Date: May 18, 2005

Who's the top football prospect in the state of Ohio? After that, who are the next 99? It's a tough question to answer and a tough task to try and answer it, but each year, Duane Long of Ohio High magazine rounds up piles of videotape, scouting reports, feedback from coaches, and more, in an attempt to come up with a list of the state's top 100 prospects. We are going to be counting down his first top 100 of 2005 over the next several days, starting today with the second half of the list.

Crum is considered the #104 prospect in Ohio. He is called a work in progress and needs to get in the weight room. Has a great body and looks the part.

Clark is still my super-sleeper in this class...the chances of him getting an OSU offer are probably not all that great, but if there is one player that is a touch off the radar that has a chance to make up a ton of ground during his senior season, it is Clark...

From BSB...Clark plans to camp at OSU, Michigan and ND. He currently has offers from Illinois, Indiana, Boston College, Duke, Miami (OH), Akron and Cincinnati. He has a 4.2 GPA and says academics will play a part in his decision. He projects as a tackle.

I still say don't be shocked if he is receiving major attention by the time his senior year rolls around...
