'06 OH OL/DT Aaron Brown (Virginia Tech Signee)

Here is a link to the White recruitment thread. The 1st post hinting at the Buckeyes pulling his offer is on page 6. It went downhill from there.

Thanks, LR...and to all who sent me a PM, thank you as well.

I find all of this very ironic...Not that Hype had his schollie pulled or that his father and AB's father are friends....I find it ironic since both players where over hyped and as soft as a buddah's belly.

Run that by me again? A terrorist's very, very distorted "world view" can most definitely make them an enemy of the state. Wrong can be evil.
Hey don't deep-six me there NavyBuck. Incoming torpedo ... :wink2:
Now ratcheting the concept down a great deal from international terrorism to recruiting :) , from what I have read Brown did a pretty good trash job of OSU. He could have kept his mouth shut, but he didn't. I see nothing wrong with fans of OSU expressing their disagreement and - within limits - their displeasure about the comments.
Phew thanks for backing of from DefCon4.
I did hear that he had some poor and frankly unrequired words about the Buckeyes and the coaching staff. But, I didn't read them first hand. All I have to go on is the version of Bucknuts for public consumption. Based on that I have no problem with fans expressing their dissapointment in his choice of VT and disagreement with the content of his comments. What I was hoping was that we would not see the start of character assasination - which we are getting over on BN. Really I anticipate this board will have a fairly sanguine take on his comments. A consider the source(s) take if you will.
Well, yeah, it kind of does.... Any player who doesn't play for Ohio State is potentially an "enemy", i.e. someone who may some day line up across from the Buckeyes with the goal of beating the Buckeyes.
OK -though, that's broadening the definition somewhat - he becomes a competitor, but it isn't like he has suddenly became Castro's second cousin.
I never wish any kid ill luck, but I certainly hope that every player who chooses another school ends up less successful than the ones who choose Ohio State. I hope that Aaron and the rest of the Hokies are just good enough to lose to Ohio State if the two teams should ever play each other.
Quite agreed with all of the above. Who knows though (and really not wishing Aaron bad luck) but this could be story to follow - to see how he actually develops in the next year or so.

As for the comments themselves - which seems much more than the election to choose the Hokies to be the spark -- what inquiring minds want to know is who is the source of the poison that prompted Aaron's negative responses.

I was a lot more comfortable losing AMW and Brandon Braxton in the past, though I agree, realizing that he was more of a project than an immediate impact has certainly lessened the pain. Much thanks to H&G for the insight!

I have read enough on this board to know that our OSU coaching staff know exactly what they want out of a recruit, attitude wise that is. Aaron, hope you find happiness in virginia country. Lets go and get recruits that want to play for the scarlet and gray!
Go Bucks!
