JT and his staff have shown they can evalute OL talent and get some of the very best.

This might be true but the problem has been developing the talent.

We had what 4 Olineman selected in the 04 draft ( and 2 of them started as Rookies) and it was one of the weakest units on the team.

But, you're right the talent was there....

The problem was that Bollman was in charge of OL development. Now that Peterson is the one with the reigns, we've already seen improvement and Peterson only took over around mid-season of last year.

By the Arizona site...Arizona is recruiting Tilley and teammate Brennen Glass very hard. Because of Stoops' ties to Ohio, Lee will be going out to visit Arizona. Brennen is going to visit Iowa, who are due to offer during his visit. He is also going to visit ND. Their coach says they both ahve high interest in Arizona.

i think grad naile it. osu offered their top 3 OL choices. they'll look at tilley, pamer, and browning in camp and probably offer who they thik is the best of those 3.

Tilley could be a nice LT in a few years after Rehring departs (i'm assuming boone mans the RT spot at this point).

tOSU must feel like they are in pretty good shape with their top 3 OL men.

I really like that rivals bit, with stoop's ties to Ohio. I know Stoops grew up about 4 hours away in Y'town but how does that give him ties to Springfield?

From the ND site...Tilley was impressed with ND's campus and staff. They didn't talk about an offer, only that they were going to recruit him. He has trips planned in the next few weeks to Illinois, Michigan State, and possible Wisconsin. He doesn't have a top 5 yet.

One of the top offensive line prospects from the midwest is Lee Tilley. This massive tackle is impressive on film. Check out his video highlights.

Lee Tilley, 6-7 and 311 pounds, is a huge tackle prospect from Springfield (Ohio) South High School. Tilley is currently sitting on scholarship offers from Cincinnati, Georgia, Nebraska, West Virginia, N.C. State, Indiana and Kansas and others.

Tilley is a prospect who shows what you want to see in an offensive tackle. He has long arms, wide body and quick feet. Tilley is already an advanced pass blocker as he plays in a system that is built around the pass. He is raw but has all the tools to be an outstanding OL at the next level. Here are two video highlight packages on Tilley. Video 1 - Watch Video

Tilley is very big and seems to move well at the point of attack.

PREFACE: I am hardly a recruiting guru...but Highstreet and I have watched a lot of video already this year.

From the videos I have seen I would put him well behind the big 3 (Brown, Boren and Smith). I would probably have him in the 2nd group in state...with guys like Meenan, Nagy, Palmer and Gulley. My Ohio top 10 OL would probably look something like this...

1. Aaron Brown
2. Justin Boren
3. Connor Smith
4. Ryan Palmer
5. Lee Tilley
6. Bill Nagy
7. Chris Meenan
8. Bryant Browning
9. Chad Schofield
10. D.J. Burris

I think 5-10 are almost interchangable at this point. Most of them have a few offers...schools like Iowa, Miami (OH) and Pittsburgh are targeting that second group. A lot will depend on how these guys perform at camps and during their senior year. Tilley, for example, is supposedly in much better shape than he was last year so maybe the video I saw of him doesn't quite do him justice. Georgia obviously thinks enough of him to offer. There are a bunch of other guys who could easily be on this list as well. Guys like Bob Gulley, Clark Crum and Torrence Nicholson could all crack this list by the winter.
