'06 OH OT Lee Tilley (Auburn Verbal Commitment)

Would you say that DJ Burris is this years AJ Haas? Both had considerable amount of info known about them by their junior years, but kind of slid off the recruiting radar as things unfolded towards their senior years....

A.J. just never seemed to improve the way many, especially Duane Long, expected him to. I think it is way too early to label D.J. Burris this year's A.J. Haas...but the early indications are not exactly favorable for D.J. I hope he is able to become the stud that many project him to be. D.J.'s problem seems to be more about size than determination. He is listed as 6'1 but I have heard that disputed by numerous people. The level of competition is also a bit of a ?. I know some think Wake will be a player for him because of Ben Mauk. We shall see.

Tilley seems to be going in the opposite direction. His stock is rising rapidly and it shows with the number of offers he continues to garner. The early offers from Georgia, NC State and Nebraska are especially impressive. Springfield South has three impressive football players in Tilley, QB Brennen Glass and DE Lamar Mapp.

What are the odds of OSU taking 4 o-lineman. The word seems to be that the magic number is 3, and it seems that the 3 are pretty well defined. However, Tilley seems like he's a good catch. If he's top notch, I'd hate to see him go somewhere else.

I would say the odds are pretty good. I have heard that at least 4 and maybe 5 depending on who they get early and who they get interest/visits from.

Keep in mind, we only took 2 last year.
