Nate is definitely leaning towards playing football in college. He holds offers from Indiana and Toledo right now. Nate will take the ACT on saturday to improve his previous 16. He is very impressed with Indiana right now.
probably has more to do with being the only Big10 program to offer at this point. With their new coach, I can see them making waves in the Big10. Not title waves but above average. Look at what he did at Miami with what should be considered much less talent or at least much less draw to recruit good talent.ShakerBuck said:dang..he is impressed with Indiana?
He is impressed with their new offensive plans...wide open, fun and gun. Nate definitely considers himself a pocket passer.ShakerBuck said:dang..he is impressed with Indiana?
"Dang! It's got shocks, pegs. Lucky!"ShakerBuck said:dang..he is impressed with Indiana?
Nate Davis was highly anticipated in Bellaire...everyone knew he was going to be special. His father, Tube, did a great job with those boys...Taosman said:Most" valley"! football fans think his brother, Jose, was actually more a football player and less a pure athlete the way Nate is! Nate would do well at a high Mac school like BG or Miami. Or even Indiana! May not have the grades for OSU.
Here’s a look at the “Top 15” quarterback prospects in the Midwest.
1. Isiah Williams, 6-2, 220, 4.7, Chicago (Vocational)
Rocket-Arm QB gives a down Illinois program a big shot in the arm.
2. Austen Arnaud, 6-3, 205, 4.8, Ames, Iowa
Set to choose between Iowa and Iowa State. Terrific dual-threat QB.
3. Nate Davis, 6-3, 200, 4.7, Bellaire, Ohio. </B>
Raw but Davis has a cannon for an arm and he’s a natural athlete
4. Mike Hartline, 6-6, 185, 4.8, Canton (Glenoak) .
Needs to add bulk but Hartline has the potential to be a special player
5. Alex Loukas, 6-4, 190, 4.7, Deerfield, Ill., .
There’s not a hotter QB prospect in the Midwest. Tons of upside
6. Demetrius Jones, 6-3, 190, 4.7, Chicago (Morgan Park) .
“Double D” is an athletic QB who will flourish in the right system
7. Jared Funk, 6-2, 175, 4.6, Arlington Heights (Ill.) St. Viator.
Check this list in three years and Funk could be the best of the bunch
8. Arvell Nelson, 6-4, 175, 4.7, Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville.
Arvell needs to add bulk but he’s been impressive this spring
9. Adam Weber, 6-2, 205, 4.8, Arden Hills (Minn.) Mounds View.
Impressed on the spring combine circuit; Favors Minnesota
10. Ben Chappell, 6-2, 210, 4.8, Bloomington (Ind.) South.
Same high school as Rex Grossman…Committed to Indiana
11. Matt Jansen, 6-2, 190, 4.7, Crown Point (Ind.) .
Some feel that Jansen is the best quarterback in the Hoosier State
12. Rudy Kirbus, 6-4, 205, 4.7, Cleveland (Ohio) St. Ignatius.
Plays for one of the top programs in the Midwest…25 TD passes in ’04
13. Mike Canfield, 6-1, 215, 4.6, Lansing (MI) Everett.
Impressed at the Army All-American Combine in San Antonio
14. Brennen Glass, 6-4, 215, 4.8, Springfield (Ohio) South.
3,052 yards passing and 29 touchdowns as a junior
15. Miles Schlichter, 6-1, 205, 4.7, Washington Court House (Ohio) Miami Trace. Athletic and good gene pool; Competition is a question mark but Schlichter could be very productive at the next level.
