Saturday at the Kingwood Classic in Houston, Texas......Raymar scored 18 points in the mid afternoon victory. He is being called the best player at the tourney, which is huge and should make him a top prospect now. Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Bowling Green all game by to his Canton McKinley school last week and that Ball State, Miami-FL, Arizona and Syracuse have offered.

(OSU has not offered to this point, but I would think we could in the future)

Raymar did well at the tourney, He’s going to be a high level high-major player and if he can tighten up his mid-range game. He is an excellent athlete.

Morgan Still Interested in Michigan
By Sam Webb Columnist/Photographer
Date: Apr 28, 2005

The Michigan staff has been hard at work visiting prospects during the contact period. One player that has received significant attention is Canton McKinley's Raymar Morgan

He is still open and considering Michigan. Ohio State, Michigan State, Miami (Fla.), Florida, Texas, Arizona, and Syracuse are showing interest.
Ohio State and Michigan State have been mentioned as the leaders, but Morgan says that is not entirely accurate at this point he is open to other schools.

I think Raymar would definitely make a nice addition to the class, even if he plays a similar position as Daequan and Lighty. He's a winner at the top level in Ohio as a Junior, and that is impressive to me.

His name is on the Illinois scout page. Wouldn't be surprised to see them making a push for him, especially after this recent tournament showing....

I think Raymar is more of a 3 who could grow into a 4...Lighty and Cook are more 2/3 combo guards...I think Morgan, followed by Lauderdale and Mullens, would make a great wing player or even PF.

From Scout.com...Morgan has two big offers; Ohio State and Michigan State. Those are his top 2, but he is also interested in Syracuse, UConn, Arizona and Michigan, all of which have not offered at this point.

Article from BSB that covers prospects in the top 150 list that are still targets of Ohio State.........Morgan is listed as the #85 prospect...They suggest that Ohio State will most likely offer soon. UConn, Arizona, Michigan, Pittsburgh and Georgia Tech are also in the mix.
I thought OSU had already offered?

despite Scout listing Morgan with an offer, some have suggested that his offer is contingent upon getting his grades in order. If he has recently taken the ACT, as many students have, than that may be what they mean by "Ohio State will offer soon"...just a guess.
