'06 OH WR Joe Morgan (Illinois signee; transfer to Walsh)

Can somebody from Mckinly comment, please...

I don't remember him from the title game last year and the only game I have seen him play this year (against Massy) he dropped three TD passes...

were those drops simply a fluke because of the hype surrounding the rivalry game?

(I am not knocking this kid AT ALL! He can certainly run and get open!!)

Thanks in advance!

Joe Morgan
McKinley, senior
Wide receiver
Favorite class: Piano lab.
Favorite teacher: All are my favorites.
Favorite TV show: “Laguna Beach.”
Favorite movie: “Coming to America.”
Favorite video game: NCAA ’06.
GameBoy or PSP2: PSP2.
Favorite food: Steak with sour cream and ketchup.
Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Garner or Jennifer Aniston: JLo.
Favorite athlete: Terrell Owens, because he dominates his position.
Favorite memory in your sport? Playing midget league football for the Falcons, because I learned a lot and played with some of my teammates now on that team.
Favorite hobby or off-day activity: Chillin’ with Jeff Vaughn and Doyle Lewis.
What sport do you admire that you don’t play? Cross country. Those little dudes have a lot of heart to run for like 20 minutes. It’s a lot of work.
Who is your most influential person? My Grandfather. He is always there for me with either a word of wisdom or a joke. I love jokes.
If you were in charge of high school football, what would you change? I would make all coaches as “funny” as coach Cross.
Who would you like to spend a day with? Anybody who makes me laugh.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? In the NFL. But if not, then I want to have a degree in engineering. I want to have a good job taking care of my own family. Credentials: The 6-foot-2, 175-pound senior receiver made big plays on offense and special teams to help McKinley beat Elyria, 35-9, in the second round of the playoffs last week. Morgan caught three passes for 44 yards, scoring on a 27-yard reception. He returned three kickoffs for 88 yards to give McKinley good field position. He also blocked a first-quarter PAT attempt by Elyria. Morgan has set single-season school records with his 967 receiving yards and 13 TD catches. He has 37 total catches. His 1,083 career receiving yards ranks him fifth all-time at McKinley.

Gstock -- I noticed that and was going to post it, then saw your post. My thoughts exactly bro.

The biggest reasons he hasn't blown up since now is because he didn't do much last year and he never hit the camp scene very hard.

I'd love to see us pull Joe and Derrell Johnson in. That'd be a great add-on to this class.

Talk about two huge sleepers, who I feel are going to blow up at the next level. I hope we can get both of them in.

I think we will pull Morgan in.:osu:

Chris Pool has an update on Morgan. Joe is now rated as the #13 WR in the Midwest. He has been offered by Illinois, Toledo, and Bowling Green. He will visit Illinois on 12/9. He has been talking with tOSU and Wisconsin about taking visits. Morgan is also interested in scUM, Michigan St., Louisville, and Tennessee. Joe scored a 21 on his ACT and has a 3.6 GPA.
