'06 OH WR/TE Jeff Cumberland (Illinois signee)

Listing an offer from tOSU now?? Are his grades in order, or are we taking a chance on him, ala Troy Smith?

For what its worth though, I would absolutely LOVE to see JC in S&G. He has the potential to be a great one!

Sometimes kids like other schools regardless of how well they are recruited... Alex Daniels sure seemed to be driven to leave OSU. Some kids also want to go somewhere that they can play, which is perfectly understandable. The sky isn't falling Taos...

If that's the case, then those kids obviously do not trust and respect the OSU staff, so they should go elsewhere.
You know, I'm all about respecting the tOSU staff, but sometimes you gotta question their decisions. Lydell's carreer was pretty much a disaster, and as a result, our running game was pretty much a disaster for a couple years. I think the fans would have been happier (And more at ease) to see Mo Hall get more PT to show what he could do on the field. If Mo Hall really showed that he couldnt get the job done, and all we had was Lydell, I think less people would have complained. But as a result, we dont know what could have happened if MoHall had an extra quarter or two under his belt.

Jeff Cumberland

Jeff Cumberland tore up the camp circuit this off-season and now, with the beginning of the high school football season just a week away, he's ready to feast on defensive backs with his tremendous heighth and speed adavantage that he'll have on everyone that tries to defend him. If Brookhaven's finest can get everything together off of the field in the same manner that he's able to when he's on it, then Cumberland could be as good a prospect as anyone in Ohio by season's end.

Great pics by Housteau.....Cumberland looks more like a wide receiver in my opinion.

He is taller than 6' 4"... he is more like 6' 6" and can carry 220 lbs. like a wide receiver, considering he runs in the 4.45 range.
