Dorin Dickerson
Outside linebacker / Wide Receiver
Imperial (Pennsylvania) West Allegheny
Height: 6-foot-3
Weight: 205 pounds
40-yard dash: 4.6 seconds
Bench max: 310 pounds
Squat max: 475 pounds
2004 stats (offense): 1,036 yds rushing, 21 TD's; 517 yds receiving, 7 TD's
2004 stats (defense): 58 tackles, 3 interceptions

As a junior, Dorin was named to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Fabulous 22. In high school, he has excelled on offense, having lined up at RB, WR, and even QB; however, most people think that his future is on the defensive side of the ball, where his size and athleticism would make him an ideal OLB.

At this stage of the game, Dorin has interest in several schools, including Ohio State; he claims early offers from Pitt, Penn State, and Boston College.

I live in the WAHS school district and have seen him play a couple of times. Very athletic for sure and is obviously well coached as he plays for one of the premier coaches in the US. I did not know that he wanted to play RB in college, if I had to bet I would say most coaches would want him on the D side of the ball. Has a nice frame where he can add some weight(muscle).

From the Michigan site...as reported before, Dorin has offers from Akron, Connecticut, Michigan, Purdue, Pittsburgh, and North Carolina. He figures to be rated as a four-star OLB by Rivals. Dorin is working out right now trying to improve all aspects of his game...size, speed and strength. His current favorites are Michigan, Pitt, Penn State, Ohio State and Tennessee.

From the Penn State site...Dickerson has offers from Michigan, Ohio State (unconfirmed), Pittsburgh, Wisconsin, LSU and Boston College, as well as several MAC schools. He is waiting to hear from PSU, who has not been in contact. Dorin's father believes he will play WR at the next level. Michigan, his favorite, is recruiting him as a WR.

Film Study 101....

Dorin ****erson {PA}
: All clips show ****erson on offense. As a running back ****erson possesses some admirable qualities. He had great hands, and nice vision. He made the first man miss in the hole on every highlight. He had as many clips receiving as he did running. He made great adjustments, and showed the skills to make a move and take it to the house after the catch.

I think he looks good as a wideout, but he will have to post some good numbers at camps to truly get a look there imo.
I think size and speed make him a LB recruit for tOSU.

He does have some nice hands though...

Dickerson (6-2, 195, 4.6) denies having a leader but favors Michigan (offer), LSU (offer) and Pittsburgh (offer) over Ohio State, Oklahoma and Miami. Dickerson claims Akron, Boston College, UConn, Rutgers, Wisconsin, North Carolina and Eastern Michigan have also offered.
Holds a 2.9 GPA and will take the ACT in June.
