From what I've read, Ross Homan seems to be more of a linebacker prospect than anything else. I've never seen him play, but I recall reading that he didn't seem like a natural RB.

I like Moline. I believe it's Chane, not Chad as jimotis said. Regardless of his first name, he sounds like a beast!

homan sounds like a great lb prospect but i too have never seen him. coming from where he is coming he may need to blow away people at the camps to get an offer (if he doesn't have one already, i haven't been following him much honestly).

OL Ryan Palmer

OL Ryan Palmer, who plays at GlenOak in Canton, OH. This kid is 6'7" and pretty fast from what I have heard from relatives up in Canton. Might be another good addition to the Ohio State Offensive line. He is interested in the Buckeyes too.

A few more NE Ohio names from the PD

Hey, Eddie: Who are some of the rising football stars in the area that we may not have heard of?

- Eric, Rocky River

Hey, Eric: I already referred to one of the premier juniors in Ohio in a previous Hey, Eddie: Euclid defensive end/outside linebacker Thaddeus Gibson (6-3, 207 pounds). The kid has big-time potential.

Along with Gibson, other names to remember for 2005 are Akron Garfield junior running back Chris Wells, a 6-2, 220-pound load who has run a 4.48 40-yard dash; and Solon junior running back Brandon Shimits, a rare two-time Cuyahoga County Player of the Week this season. I also like Glenville junior defensive end Robert Rose (6-6, 240); Valley Forge's gritty junior tailback Andrew Karr; University School's junior tandem of running back Paul Rice (6-2, 215) and defensive back Bryant Milligan; St. Edward junior offensive guard Joe Thomas (6-4, 280); and St. Ignatius' junior trio of 6-4 quarterback Rudy Kirbus, 6-4 wideout Robby Parris and 6-5, 230-pound defensive end John Ryan.

06' South FL QB Mark McGraw

Synopsis:

This QB Is 6'3" 185. Real strong arm. Accurate. His 76 yd TD pass went much of the way in the air and was beautiful and hit his receiver Michael Dent in stride. Has nice speed and is a good looking kid.

Real test will be against St. Thomas Aquinas in the playoffs.

06' WR Michael Dent 5'8" is on the small side but like all players from Atlantic is extremely fast and has impressive hands. His 49 yd TD grab was a long loft down the right (far) sideline and he just blew by the deep cover 3 corner. The ball was way outside of his right shoulder and he looked right and backwards and up and found the ball and amazingly kept his balance and kept in bounds and flew into the endzone.

Eagles win a playoff berth

By Argenis Fradique

Special to The Palm Beach Post

Saturday, October 30, 2004

DELRAY BEACH — Atlantic's senior quarterback Mark McGraw completed 13 of 14 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns and the Eagles clinched a playoff berth with a 34-14 victory against Fort Pierce Central (1-3) on Friday night.

Atlantic (4-2) earned a playoff date with state-ranked St. Thomas Aquinas by featuring an offense that rolled up 392 yards against the Cobras.

The Eagles needed only 92 seconds to take a 7-0 lead, driving 48 yards on four plays. C.J. Francis had two runs for 33 yards, including a 15-yard touchdown run.

After a Fort Pierce fumble on its first offensive play, Francis found the end zone again on a 2-yard run, making it 13-0.

Fort Pierce's second offensive snap proved to be much better, as quarterback Mario Merricks ran for 60 yards. The run led to another scramble by Merricks, who scored from the 6.

The frenzied pace continued in the second quarter as McGraw led the Eagles to the Cobras' 16 before a missed field goal ended the drive. The Cobrastook the lead at 14-13, going 80 yards on eight plays. Running back Floyd Reynolds made the big play, a 51-yard touchdown run.

But the lead was short-lived as McGraw found receiver Michael Dent for a 76-yard touchdown pass, putting the Eagles up 20-14. The Cobras led for just 33 seconds as the game went to halftime.

Atlantic continued to gain big yards during the third quarter. McGraw hooked up again with Dent on a 49-yard touchdown pass. McGraw's only incompletion came in that drive on a dropped pass but that was the only thing that didn't go the Eagles way in the second half.

Francis then capped the scoring with his third touchdown run on a 7-yard scamper. Francis finished with 116 yards on 20 carries. Dent led the Eagles with 4 receptions for 141 yards.

Slickman notes:

CJ Francis (SR: 5'9" 185) is a nice looking little TB who I liked a lot last year. Real fast. Might look good in the MAC.

Atlantic has some monster DEs that should both play college football based on potential alone. David Glover (SR: 6'5" 220) very fast. FT. PIERCE took it up the gut all night; didn't make very many tackles. Nick Dorch (referred to as the SACKMASTER by the announcer) had about 10 sacks/TFLs (6'3" 220) and was an animal. Really fun to watch. They are both very fast, muscular and have lots of room to fill out.

I stood on the track next to these guys before the game and I think they're even bigger than their numbers in the program.

The man among boys is Robert Rose. I saw him at the State semifinal game.
He is listed as 6'5" 245. He is build like sprinter, IE his legs are very long.
He is being played out of position at DT rather than DE because he's Glenville's biggest kid. IMHO the kid will be great in college.

There are THIRTEEN Tarblooders on that list.....
14 actually. :) Always good to see a Shaker Heights kid with potential, also.

I wonder if BIATCHabatuka ever got ahold of a Glenville roster. I know Jefferson and Sturdivant are ones to watch in 2007-8, but would like to see the complete list. I'm surprised Whitner's younger brother didn't make the trip.

EDIT: Not sure of the other schools, but I am positive some of the Glenville guys are younger than juniors.
