COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina's highly touted quarterback recruit Stephen Garcia has been arrested again -- this time on a charge of malicious injury to personal property.
Garcia was arrested about noon Saturday after a visiting professor reported that Garcia had used a key to scratch the man's car parked near the university, Columbia police spokeswoman Sgt. Florence McCants said.

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- South Carolina quarterback Stephen Garcia has been suspended from the team after being ticketed for underage drinking in his third run-in with police in about a year.
Athletics spokesman Steve Fink says Garcia will not be allowed to practice or meet with the team until August 15.

Fifth-year senior quarterback Stephen Garcia has been dismissed from the football team, two sources told The State on Tuesday.
Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier would not address the news when reached by The State. Athletics director Eric Hyman is expected to make an announcement this afternoon.
Garcia was informed of the decision Tuesday morning.
It has been a tumultuous two-week end to a tumultuous career for the Florida native. Garcia lost his starting job to sophomore Connor Shaw and attended the funeral of his grandfather last week.
He entered the season chasing many of the school’s career passing records but leaves after completing 52 percent of his passes for 844 yards, nine interceptions and four touchdowns this season.
