Scout Profile

Same HS as Santonio Holmes and Albert Dukes. Good one to keep an eye on. Considered by many to be the fastest football prospect regardless of class.

Ran three straight 4.28 forty times at the Scout.com Jacksonville Combine on Sunday April 17, 2005. Apparently ran a 10.38 wind aided 100m.

I have heard rumors that he likes Florida but they are just that, rumors. Until I hear it from him I won't consider him a UF fan. It is way too early to think about him but he is just a name to pay attention to in the future.

Only, when Deonte starts his visits, Santonio will probably be playing in the NFL, so I am not sure if they will be in contact. Though, Mr. Dukes will still be there, probably dominating the Big 10.

If santonio is in the pros, stopping by the sidelines as a pro star certainly won't hurt our chances when/if Deonte visits. Kind of like how Michigan will probably bring back Edwards when they try to land Hornsby later this year.

Rivals$

From Rivals Top100:

The schools he is looking at right now are Florida, Ohio State, Miami, Florida State, Alabama, Auburn and West Virginia. Already has offers from Florida, Miami, West Virginia and Auburn as a wide receiver. Prefers wide receiver but would play DB.

Talks about being a Florida fan and grew up watching Fred Taylor play there.

Also talks about Ohio State. Says he is close with Albert Dukes, who are cousins, and knonws a little about Santonio Holmes. Says there is a little mini pipeline going to tOSU.

Fred Taylor is from the same school as well. If he grew up an UF fan it might be hard to pull him away from UF because all 6 of the top 6 UF WRs(Chad Jackson, Andre Caldwell, Dallas Baker, Jemalle Cornelius, Gavin Dickey, Kenneth Tookes) will leave by the time he gets to UF, so it'll be a pretty favorable depth chart he'll be looking at.

While this is true they are in on some big WR's this year like Jammere Holland, Vidal Hazelton, ect. I'm sure there are more and G8erBait could tell us who all will be around most likely.

You gotta love that he knows Dukes so well. I think many of us to see Dukes get plenty of PT, even if he isn't the official 4th receiver. But we will be running plenty of 4 & 5 wide sets, and Dukes is just too talented to not see the field (especially against our weaker midseason schedule).

This guys speed is just scary. If he has his football and scholastic head on straight, he would be a great get.
