... EDIT: Wonder if ESPN will play "The Boy is Mine" by Monica and Brandy as an intro.

That would be pretty funny. I Havent heard that song in a while.

I guess all the talk about Gordon was deserving because of the situation between the two schools and more importantly the coaches. Gordon should be something special next year.

Well, I was lucky enough to get to see one of the top HS games in the state this season and perhaps the last few years. Warren Central (Walter Offutt) vs. North Central (Eric Gordon).

Gordon went off for 50 points. Warren won in OT by 7 though. It was a great great game. The fans were going wild on both ends. Just really an awesome game. Gordon showed a lot more than I even saw last Sat. when I watched him (he scored 34 then). Tonight he was even better (obviously, with 50), but he was on fire from the outside, showed strong drives, great finishes, hit all but 1 FT (shot 15), and really took the game on his shoulders, he got the tip in at the buzzer to send it to OT.

I'll talk more about Offutt in his thread tomorrow, I'm tired tonight! But I will say that Offutt showed he's a hell of a player. He's a great kid too, showed a lot of unselfishness and was a good teammate with encouraging them and talking to them the whole game. He didn't quite have the best first half, but he went toe-to-toe with Gordon, in my opinion, especially in the 2nd half and OT. I'll find an article and talk more about the game tomorrow.

edit- Gordon was 15-20 (6-7 3pt) , 14-15 FT, 50 pts. He'll be playing on ESPN2 on Thursday.
