'07 MI LB/FB Chris Colasanti (Penn State signee)

I really like him as an OLB prospect. His speed seems legit because if it wasn't it would more likely be 4.6 rather than 4.63. 209 lbs may seem light but if you look at Dailey in '07 or Gibson or Moeller from '06 they were all smaller then he is currently.

He looks to have a frame to add at least 30 lbs. He will not be light after a senior season, and then a redshirt year.

Chris holds offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Boston College, Stanford, Eastern Michigan, and Central Michigan. He does not have a leader but is very interested in Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Boston College, Stanford, Notre Dame and Penn State.

OSUgrad that article is actually a free article on Bucknuts. So everyone enjoy reading it, as Chris will be at OSU Thursday for A.J. and Bobby's Pro Timing Day. This could have major pull meeting them and then watching both go in the first round.

This kid is a flat out stud... I'd love to pull him outta that state up north. He is very similar to Ross Homan IMO. Great instincts, toughness, and game speed.
I think this is a great recruiting tactic by the coaches. "Come and watch our all world LB's make themselves 1st round picks". Nice luxury to have. :)

Yeah Michigan cant provide anything like that.
Yeah, but Penn State can, and the kid has admitted to being a fan of Poz and Dan Connor (as well as Hawk), and PSU (not yet offered) is in his top 5. Watch out for the Lions....

Re: Colasanti <hr> Never saw in person, but watched play in State Championship game on TV. 3 things really impressed me. 1st was his fundamentally strong play, good tackler and seemed to read plays extremely well. 2nd was his mental toughness and leadership. Saw him talking to teammates and seemed to be the player making the calls and checks. 3rd was his physical play. He absolutely squared up, bent his knees, and drilled the ball carrier. IMHO he is the type of physically intimidating player UM needs to start getting if we are going to play the type of aggresive/hard-hitting football Coach English is talking about.
