David Harsch
Warren G. Harding
Height:
5'10
Weight:
210
Bench: 285

- Anyone with a television set could have seen that against the big names of St. Eds and Glenville, Harsch more often than not was the name the announcers called when a tackle was made. Harsch is one of those players that just has a nose for the ball. It was hard to gauge his speed as it was mostly lateral movemant, and he may not have yet earned enough stripes to be given free reign with any kind of a blitz package. Harsch is another tough and well-schooled ball player from the stables of Coach McDaniels.

Harsch is just getting started

I don't think that I've ever seen a sophomore with a nose for the ball like Harsch. He had his best games against WGH's toughest opponents, and WGH played the 6th toughest schedule in the country according to calpreps.com. Didn't participate in any spring sports (I think that he's running track though), but he lives in the weight room. Reminds me of a young version of Carl Diggs with his bulk & playing style. Harsch will definitely be one to watch.

Next year's club is loaded with underclassmen talent, including sophomore running back Dan Herron (cousin of Prescott Burgess), linebacker/safety Sidney Glover, and linebacker David Harsch....All three of those players were starters last season, which is surprising since Warren Harding rarely ever plays it's sophomores.

Harsch is a solid HS LB, but it will be interesting to see how well he fares at FB this season. If he excels on offense as well as he does on defense than he could be a sleeper for 2007 IMO. It's very early in his career though, so he still has time to grow into a college LB.

i don't mean to be critical of warren harding, but if they have all this talent, why is their record so bad?? i guess part of the reason is most of their best talent appears to be underclasseman. warren harding fans, tell me whats up with your team....

Coaching. We have alot of talent but it is not put in the right places and is not well coached. We are expecting a new coach next year and we are hoping they fire Mcdaniels because he has took away all of our tradition from Pep Rallies to bon fires and is not making football fun. we I played we wore are jerseys on game day that is tookin away. Everbody use to eat the team meal now only starters and 2nd and 3rd stringers have to buy their own food. Our talent is being wasted. We should have atleast 3 state titles in the last 4 yrs. We are in every game we play and lead at halftime but he doesnt make any halftime adjustments and team know what were doing in the 2nd half the same as the 1st. There is talk about us getting Brian Cross who is a Warren boy. I have met him and he is a real nice gy. He said that if he was ever offered the Harding job he would accept right on the spot. He was almost our coach back in 2000 before Mcdaniels but Mcdaniels came out of retirement.
