'07 OH QB Clay Belton (Miami of Ohio Signee)

This kid has a rocket for an arm... Injured thumb may be an issue, but will be 100% by the time Fall 07 starts. Did not get to play against Wayne (my high school) because of the injury and they suffered dramatically without him 24-0. He was the leader of Northmont, and lead them to the state playoffs 2 straight years (that I know of)

ENQUIRER STAFF AND WIRE REPORTS
The Miami RedHawks have landed what they think is a left-handed version of former MU star Ben Roethlisberger, according to ESPN the Magazine's college football insider.
Clay Belton, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound quarterback from Clayton, Ohio, will sign with Miami on Wednesday.
"Belton actually has the tools to be the next Ben Roethlisberger," Tom Luginbill of Scouts Inc., wrote in ESPN the Magazine. "He's a big lefty who can run when he has to and throw it with the best of the polished pocket passers.

the article in the enquirer is incorrect... it mentioned that k-state, duke, and cincy backed off in recruitment of clay.

all of those teams (amongst others) offered clay. k-state even had him visit and offered during their huge win over texas.
