From the sound of the article, Greg isn't the one running the show...

I guess my comment was directed at the Mom and not Greg...should have been more specific.

If I am going to spend money out of my own pocket, I am going to check out the school that as already offered...not the school that might offer.

We can agree to disagree, but unless he (or Mom) wants to decide soon, my rational would be why make that trip to Madison now on your own dime when you can take it later on Bucky's? Go to OSU on your own dime now, maybe earn and offer, maybe not, but you're still going to get to see Wisconsin at some point anyway. The same might not be said for OSU unless he can show that he deserves an offer.

Rocko Khoury...the door just blew wide open. As jwins has said, he looked good at the UM camp and picked up an offer (and is likely headed there). But he also may make an appearance in Columbus this weekend...

Shaw's decision to not come to camp is supposedly not indicative of his level of interest but it will certainly hurt his chances at that offer. But the fact is that a kid in his situation is probably not going to beg an offer...he is already sitting on offers from the entire SEC.

Wadc has it right... Hey guys, sometimes these kids aren't the ones paying for the trip out of state... And if I were a parent, who maybe didn't have a lot of money, I would probably tell my kid that he's gonna go visit the school that has offered him a scholarship, not one that hasn't..

This pretty much ends the Shaw recruitment. I doubt he gets an offer now, which is too bad, since I think Jenkins is pulling a Ben Martin on us

There is a long way to go on that one - let's at least wait to see how this weekend goes. It will be a great opportunity for OSU and the kids attending to get a feel for what the class could actually look talent-wise and feel like personality-wise... which is why its especially disappointing that Greg can't make it. I hate to see an option go away for either Greg or OSU this early in the recruiting season.

FWIW, Michigan fans predicting their classes over at Rivals aren't including Khoury as part of it... Don't think/know if that means anything, just thought I'd pass it along...

I would not be suprised if the Bucks go all or nothing with Jenkins. Bollman and JT are very picky about who they offer for the OL. The already have 2 OT's (Adams and Shugarts) and a C, G or OT in Brewster. They really do not need any more OT's in this class, so i think that rules our Z. Sanders. I think any offer will go to someone they have see up close at camp IMO.

Sanders is not being offered because of which spot on the line he projects at...he is not being offered because they have other OL rated higher than him. There is no doubt the staff would like a mauler to complete this OL class...and Sanders is not that player. Long (their original target), Shaw, Jenkins, Stevens, Coates, etc...they fit that bill much more than Sanders does.

Rivals $

7/12

Has trimmed his list to Louisville, Wisconsin, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, South Florida and Central Florida.

Surprised FSU is not on the list...they were after him as well.

From the ESPN Recruiting Briefing Room:

Six schools in the mix for offensive tackle Greg Shaw
Greg Shaw told ESPN affiliate GatorCountry.com, "Florida, South Florida, LSU, Georgia Tech, West Virginia, and Wisconsin are the teams I'm looking at. I have officials set up for South Florida and Florida and I don't know about the last two. I already took an official visit to LSU when they played Auburn."

Shaw likes the proximity of South Florida, Georgia Tech was his favorite growing up, said Wisconsin " makes great offensive lineman", that West Virginia "came out of nowhere," and that Florida has been tireless in its recruitment of him.
