While Ohio State hasn?t offered, Wallace said he had a great visit to Columbus last week. He watched practice, sat in on a tight end meeting and spent 15 minutes talking with coach Jim Tressel.

?It was fun and really nice up there,? Wallace said.

Jody Demling - Recruiting

Bowling Green coach Kevin Wallace said his tight end - and son - Ryan Wallace is "probably farther away from a decision that he was" a month or so ago. Several other schools, including Rutgers, Boston College and Colorado, are now viable options. Ryan Wallace told me today that Colorado offered him a scholarship, along with his teammate D.L. Moore. Wallace still likes Kentucky, Mississippi, Stanford and Cincinnati.

With 14 offers in hand, Ryan Wallace said he favors Wake Forest, Colorado and Kentucky solidly over Stanford, Cincinnati and Rutgers. "I talk to all of these schools once a week," Wallace said. "Rutgers just offered me about a week ago, so they are new to my list, but have been recruiting me really hard." Wallace says he also hopes to officially visit Rutgers and Wake Forest before deciding.

Jody Demling - Recruiting

Louisville has missed out on some top in-state football prospects this recruiting season, but this morning coach Steve Kragthorpe landed a major in-state prize.

Bowling Green High School tight end Ryan Wallace just confirmed to me that he called the U of L coaches this morning and committed.

"It's always been a place that I wanted to go," Wallace said. "The distance and just the comfort level up there. Once I thought about everything, it just matched up. I liked it there, I know a lot of people up there and some of my friends from high school are going there. Plus, I've known coach (Greg) Nord for a little bit. Everything just fit into place."

The 6-foot-5, 230-pound tight end picked the Cardinals over Rutgers, Wake Forest, Colorado and Stanford. He had just visited Rutgers last weekend.

"We flew into Louisville after my visit to Rutgers," Wallace said. "We drove over to see the campus and I really liked it a lot. It was a lot better than I thought it would be. Louisville is the place where I feel I will excel the best."
