I got a chance to watch him play in the state championship game against Coldwater, and thought he might be somone to keep an eye on.
He is the younger brother of former OSU recruit and Notre Dame pledge Kyle Mccarthy.
He also started as a freshman on the basketball team

Dan might end up being as good or better than Kyle. He really impressed me in the title game. Played his ass off for only being a sophomore.

Incredible play-maker with great speed. Definately one to keep an eye on.

Dan is interested in tOSU, Penn St., Notre Dame, Michigan, Boston College, and some MAC schools. All of the above have been in touch, and he camped at PSU and ND.

Will McArthy be one of Ohio's top 10 players in the '08 class?

Everyone that has seen him play say he is better than his brother Kyle.

He has a chance but as of right now he wouldnt be in my top 10.

This recruitment sounds just like Kyle`s and we all know how that turned out. I guess anything can happen, but I wouldn`t give it more than a 10% chance of happening. Kyle should have thanked Tressel for getting him his offer to the domers. Go Bucks

Dan rushed for 152 yards on 16 carries and 6 TDs against Akron Hoban. He was also 3 of 4 passing for 65 yards.

how is this the same? Kyle didn't get an offer until December of his senior year...Dan got his offer on practically the first day a junior can receive a written offer.

Wad, what I meant is that he is an OHIO boy that got his first big offer from tOSU and he is a die hard notre dame fan. I am not getting my hopes up on a guy the will get the notre dame offer and probably commit to them, just like his big brother did. Those close to the family are saying if and when he gets the notre dame offer, he will be a domer. Go Bucks
