Not too surprising. I chose to go with the ND rumors, but think about it.

Visits ND? McCarthy to ND is imminent.

Tressel comes into town? Now the tide is turning scarlet and gray.

I don't know what to believe anymore, but I'm done holding my breathe. We'll see how it all shakes out.

Sorry about that, it won't happen again.

IC...The camp ended today. Who knows, why not announce tomorrow or the next day. I am not saying he isn't ND bound, but like you said, let's wait and see.

I mentioned to you before that all these rumors from posters didn't mean much to me. What I went by was what Dan was telling us. You have got to know the kid to realize this.

I think Tressel left yesterday, and if I heard right, Dan's parents were at the bocce outing on Sunday, along with JT.

Man, anyone compare the photo of Danny on the first page and that one take by Bucknuts a couple weeks ago.. Wish I had a quality strength and conditioning program like Mooney apparently has, when I played high school ball... Man I think when I graduated I still looked like the pic of Danny on page 1..

Some folks were concerned about the news of McCarthy's decision being "broke" by an ND reporter...McCarthy insists there's no relation between which reporter broke the story and which school he'll choose. In fact, he still hasn't made the decision yet...he says he'll decide this weeknd with his family at their lake home.

Some Cardinal Mooney posters I know from some Ohio High School forums I post on talked to Dan at Mooney's camp, and they said he was still undecided, and this if from people that don't have a stake in either Ohio State or Notre Dame.

Here's to being optimistic!

You just may have hit the nail on the head. Here's a great PM I just received from someone who usually is on-the-money about this sort of stuff:

All signs are pointing to Columbus. I'll give you my theory (emphasize THEORY) why this turnaround happened (and I believe we will eventually find out what tipped the scales). The family is old time family values. ND supposedly is all about family values, but Tressel is the only coach of the 2 who lives the Christian role on the field and off the field. Danny and the family saw firsthand the love and respect people from all over the country have for Tressel during the Mooney fundraising events and camp. They saw the donation made to YSU, and they saw firsthand it was anything phony baloney. Danny sees that and the entire family sees that. Paint the EZs.

I don't usually like to use other's private communications to provide points of view, but this really got me thinking...

Moot point there, the McCarthy's already have one son playing under Weis.

But all that aside, I'm hoping he becomes a Buck as well.
