I agree on Staples being able to grow into a DE. Him and Williams would be a great coup for DE and you one could possibly stay at LB.

Ohio is just loaded with LB talent and there are 2 studs from OOS that have us high on their list as well in Hale and Major. At this point unless Major really blows the coaches away on film I am not even sure if he will get a strong look...

I guess a lot would depend on where Staples and Williams are going to end up. If both slide down to DE(I think both will receive offers from the sound of it), then you are looking at Craig, Major, Beachum, and Zordich likely fighting for that last scholarship. Hale has his offer and I would think that Torrence is a lock to get one pending on his grades. Plus, Hale could definetly end up elsewhere even though we are in good shape. But the OSU staff is definetly aware of Craig and my St. X buddies are saying the OSU staff is very high on him.

I think we'll be looking at a LB class of Torrence, Craig, and Beachum when all is said and done... I know we're up there on Hale's list.. but you cant help but be a little pessimistic about landing 5 star OOS players...

And for the record I'd be thrilled with the LB class i listed above... I love Zordich too... so I dont think staff can go wrong with the LBs next year..

Not sure how we missed this one:

Scout $

4/25

Cincinnati, WVU, Indiana, Air Force and Akron have offered. Vandy has said an offer will be waiting if he camps there. May camp at Northwester.

Cleaned up the first post...Fred seems very interested in the idea of going the Air Force route. Congrats to him on the offers so far...

Rivals $

Film.

My Take: The comparisons to Tyler Moeller are dead on...this kid is a headhunter with a naturally explosive hips. Fred showed great closing speed and a tenacity to get to the ball. The film also shows his athletic versatility as he lined up in the secondary and as a LB. Fred will make somebody very happy on NLOID...

Sure will. Granted he has a really impressive offer sheet, I can't believe he's flying under the radar as much as he is with the Midwest schools and recruiting services. You couldn't convince me that he couldn't play at a top-tier Big Ten school.
