High school tight end that projects into an offensive lineman at the next level. Has good physical size and could see his offers grow as camps and combines progress.

At 6'6" and 280, coupled with his obvious athleticism from being a good b-ball player, I wonder how he would project to a DT with added weight...ala a Josh Brent?

With the OL talent we are in on for next year, kids like Elliot may need to show some DL versatility in order for a real shot at an OSU offer...Not saying that is definitely the case for Elliot, just more of a generalization.

Man oh man... Ohio has OL prospects coming out of the woodwork for next year... Definitely shaping up to be a good class state-wide...

Definitely, but the only thing I'm worried about is ND and Michigan signing more than just 1 or 2 of these recruits. For OL we all know we are in on the Big 4. If we sign them 4 then that opens the door for many other schools to grab guys like Stevens, Sanders, Rowell, Whitner, Mealer, and some others.

Mealer looks like he could play DT though with his size so he could still likely get an offer.

By BK...the staff has been in to see Elliot recently. He is hearing the most from OSU, Michigan and Purdue, in addition to Wisconsin, Indiana, Notre Dame, Boston College and Northwestern.

Elliot enjoyed his visit to tOSU and holds offers from Purdue, Northwestern, Cincinnati, Duke, Miami of Ohio, Eastern Michigan, and Bowling Green. Coach Doc Tressel told Mealer the staff is waiting to hear from some OOS OL before giving out more offers and he will need a solid camp performance.

Great opportunities for Mealer. Man do the sharks really start swarming around Ohio when they know OSU has a small amount of schollies to give out...The list of kids who have big time offers and not an OSU offer is mind boggling and just shows how the staff feels about some of the OOS kids they are in on...
