'08 OH PF Yancey Gates (Cincinnati Verbal)

Maybe I am slow, but what is Yancey's update, regardless of not jumping on the OSU offer? Did he fall off the map or what? What a great prospect for someone. I promise someone will be happy with this guy.

Honestly don't really know...He played his recruitment pretty quiet and there was major talk that we lead after he came in for the game...Then the staff got word of Babbitt interest and Gates kinda fell off the map...

Not sure where he might be leanin'...Maybe Cincy??...But he has tons of potential just has to put it to work...

DAYTON - The winning combination for Withrow in Saturday's district final was simple: good ball-handling plus Yancy Gates.

Withrow, which finished No. 6 in the Enquirer Division I area coaches' poll, advances to meet Elder in the regional semifinals.
Gates, Withrow's 6-foot-8 junior center, finished with 24 points and 11 rebounds in leading Withrow to its first regional appearance since Brandon Hunter was starring for the Tigers a decade ago.
