'08 OH RB Darius Ashley (Louisville signee)

Unfair comparison between MoW and Sutton imo...

Stick MoW in the NW offense as the main man like Sutton and who knows what happens...the potential is there.

If Darius Ashley would be used like MoW in Columbus, he is better off finding a more fitting system for his strengths.

Have to respectfully disagree osugrad.

Sutton has proven himself, and that kid is a very tough runner despite his size, and he's got better speed than he gets credit for. I don't think Mo Wells has the toughness, physical nor mental- that Sutton has. Sutton is one tough son of a gun who can grind out the tough yards and plays much bigger than his size.

I can give you all of that on Sutton...but none of us know what MoW would do given the room to work in space like Sutton. Wells has had very few chances to work in space...when he has, he has shown serious ability.

Darius received an official offer from Michigan today. It'll be interesting to see how many top schools follow suit before next season.

Wow...First thing I will say is that Darius is putting together quite the offer sheet...

I have always thought that Darius will make some college happy on signing day, but thought that his size would hold him back from getting the big offers, but with the likes of Michigan and UT on his list, that isnt the case...

Hart was 1 inch taller & 10 lbs lighter in HS according to scout... looks like they might feel Ashley can play bigger than his size too.

This makes the first RB not named McGuffie formally offered by UM, ahead of guys like Darrell Scott & Jonas Gray.

That is what suprised me...most of their fans think they have a shot at Scott, might just be wishful thinking, but IMO if they feel they have any shot there should be an offer there as he is a game changer and is worth even a token offer...

Covaughn Deboskie is listed with an offer, as are Eric Smith and Brandon Barnes. Granted I do not know if those guys are offered as RB's just listed as such. Then again that is Scout's database.....

I forgot about Deboskie, that was a recent development. I don't think those other two have offers at RB.
