'08 OH TE/DE Kevin Koger (Michigan signee)

Think OSU would be interested still, or probably not due to grabbing a 1 1/2 TE's already. I'm assuming not, but with a lose to a D-2 school wouldn't think it'd be impossible for him to open things up a bit.

I personally wouldn't want a kid--from Ohio or not--who'd bail on his commitment based on a loss...any loss.

I don't really think it affects players at this stage. Maybe the sophmores and juniors may take notice. And even at that , it's just one game. I'm sure they'll bounce back.

Maybe we could trade all of out TE's to tsun for Koger ?
Koger made his choice and we have to play with the TE's we have. The only pass I remember Hamby dropping was the one in the end zone, But that is water over the Dam.
I trust JT to handle the situation to the benefit of all and will use the TE's in their best light.
I also hope we kick tsun's butt the next four years so he can never say he beat us.

Agree to an extent. If that lose results in a coach being fired, and the recruit intends to play under Carr, then i'd take the player. I guess I should have none better then start questions like this as they always get wrongly taken as a slap to the face to the team, just wondered if Koger had never committed anywhere, if we would still want him considering we landed 1-2 TE's already.

I know its scUM and programs like OSU, scUM, ND, etc are usually impervious to coaching shifts...but I would strongly reconsider things if I was a soph or junior w/ mayonnaise and blue as my #1 choice. When was the last time they played balls to the wall in a HUGE game?

The Ohio State game of 2003? Don't get me wrong, they've had some great wins over the past decade, (and I hope the trend of Ohio State et al beating michigan continues...) but they have had some more than questionable losses, this being one of them. It certainly is a trend.

I am over Koger at this point, and as Mili and others have said, decommitting over one game would concern me.

comparing a highschool highlight tape to one drop in a Division 1A NCAA football game is hilarious.....you should try to dig up film on Ballard or Nicol before you start pulling a comparsion like that!

Rory Nicol and Jake Ballard would start at every other school in the Big Ten except for maybe Wisconsin.

Be happy for Kevin that he found a school that really needs him :)
