'08 OH WR Cordale Scott (Illinois Signee; Transfer to Toledo)

Cordale is impressed with some other schools including Illinois, but he says tOSU is his leader and even counts the four WRs the Buckeyes plan to sign this season.

Jeff Fuller is #4 according to Cordale.

Interesting twist considering the speculation of Cordale playing D and Lamaar Thomas coming in as a WR... It's hard for me to imagine the staff saying no to any one of Scott, Thomas or Fuller if all three wanted to sign, but this would imply that one would/could be left out in the cold.

They would take all three in a heartbeat.

Fuller would be an amazing get if that's true...Thomas probably is counted as a pure athlete at this point and we would definetly not leave Thomas out in the cold. Thomas could play any of CB, WR, or occasionally at RB, plus Kick and Punt return. Not to mention that he would be a slot guy. This is also something interesting I was thinking about...if we get Fuller and Scott, our shortest WR would be Posey at 6'3...I tend to think somebody is getting moved and my guess would be Cordale to safety with McCarthy out of the picture. That would leave Stoney at the flex WR/TE spot, Posey and Fuller as the bigger type guys, and Thomas to play the slot if he comes. I'll believe Fuller to OSU when it happens though.

Thomas could is definitely looks like he is a good enough athlete to play cornerback, and Scott could play safety if McCarthy goes to ND like expected. Plenty of versatility and options.

Also, look at last years crop of "speed" recruits...our team speed should be sick with all the DB's/WR's we got last year. I think Thomas certainly has the hip explosion to play corner but is really dangerous with the ball in his hands. I actually liked Cordale on film better at DB now that I have watched it again. He has good, not great speed but he has good ball skills and good hips. He could be a big time playmaker at SS, with Gene at FS for the future.

Agree 100%. Taylor Mays-esque? I loved watching that kid play safety for USC last year.

The versatility that Scott and Thomas bring to the table definately means we'd take em all
The real problem will arise if Mike Floyd suddenly wants in. A nice "problem" to have....

Lots of mutual interest. Lots. Distance will be a factor, however, and his father's alma mater is close to home.

Oh I believe we have a shot with him and probably about as good as anyone right now, but I'm just not getting my hopes up quite yet.
