'08 OH WR Cordale Scott (Illinois Signee; Transfer to Toledo)

Haven't seen Cordale play but from all reports he has not faired well against competition at all, so yes, I think that would an accurate assessment. However, he is being judged on his offensive performance and I think he is a safety all the way at the next level. Crazier things have happened and he does have a WR frame but despite that, I still see him on D.

My understanding is that Scott has been dinged up for most of the season. You have to like his athleticism & versatility.

I am just envisioning the future of our secondary with Chimdi Chekwa and Eugene Clifford at CB, and then Nate Oliver (who has been receiving rave reviews from the coaches) and Cordale Scott at Safety, then I will "throw in" James Scott or Aaron Gant at the Nickelback/Star/5th DB. Wow! You have to give the staff credit for their ability to recruit the secndary the way they have been.

Could very well be...however, his athleticism is obvious and I will love to have him as a Buckeye. I think he will be somewhat of a project since I think he projects on D but he is definetly worth taking. As grad said as well, he does seem pretty similar to Hines in the way he is built imo, so LB isn't out of the question. He definetly has room to put on a lot of weight in college.

From O&B News...talks about Glenville's game coming up tonight and says playing time will be a major factor in his decision. Names the schools he is looking at as Ohio State, Wisconsin, Florida and Illinois and only guarantees he'll visit OSU and Illinois.

Interesting. I wonder what the playing time situation looks like for Cordale at safety or, as some have suggested, LB. I'm thinking that safety probably would probably look pretty positive for playing time if he's ready.

Cordale just had a pick 6 of about 86 yards. Pass got tipped by another Glenville defender and then Cordale reeled in the tipped ball with one hand and he was gone down the right sideline. 13-6 Glenville, late 2nd quarter. Glenville's kicker goes with the old school straight on style, not the soccer style like everybody else. Thought that was kinda weird.
