'08 OH WR Cordale Scott (Illinois Signee; Transfer to Toledo)

This may be completely off base, but Cordale's recruitment has always had the Alex Daniels feel to me in the regards that there are 3 kids from the same school(Massey, Jones, & Daniels vs. Rowell, Whitner, & Cordale), but OSU really only wants one of them (Daniels and Cordale). The 2 friends are doing their best to pull the "star" with them to a lesser program. The lesser program offers more immediate playing time in the same conference and they get to be with their buddies. Add in the fact that Illinios came to our house and beat us and will be playing in the Rose Bowl and Cordale suddenly has a tougher decision on his hands.

Many have said that we are bound to lose a Glenville kid at sometime, and i think this might be the perfect situation for another program to actually get that one Glenville kid that we have offered.

The BPRT has seemed steadfast until recently that Cordale IS a Buckeye, but there seems to be more and more mention of Illinois each day...

Just some random thoughts that may be completely off base

We all know how that turned out for Alex

I don't know ... maybe Cordale is also buddies with Jermale Hines, Bryant Browning, Robert Rose, Ray Small, Jamario O'Neal, Curtis Terry...?

That was my initial reaction too. Brookhaven -> OSU sure hasn't been quite the same as Glenville -> OSU has. Of course that's not to say it couldn't happen that way.

Completely agree in that he would have far more "buddies" here at OSU, however guys like Terry, JamO, Small, Rose and Browning were 2-4 years ahead of Cordale when they were @ Glenville. While i am sure they are buddies, friends, etc, i think it would be foolish to underestimate the relationship he would have with 2 of his CURRENT teammates.

Do i think Cordale ends up a Buckeye? Sure do
Do i think OSU will eventually miss on a Glenville kid that we want? Yep, but it would have to take a perfect situation for the other team to get that player. A situation such as 2 other teammates going to that other school, earlier playing time, that program having serious momentum (especially with the win in C-Bus) to open a recruits eyes, BCS game, etc...Illinois has all of this going for them right now.

Not trying to give a sky is falling post, just an observation on the similarities (sans the off the field crap the Brookhaven boys got into)

Best Recruiting class ever

I think We won't loose a kid from Glenville as long at Ted Ginn Sr. is there he has really been our best recuriter that wasn't apart of the staff. With few exceptions almost all of our speed in the recent years has come from his program. I think we will get Scott he's kind of a chad johnson personality so i thinks its the thrill of the hunt. This is a great recruiting year compariabe to 2002 year. But if we get Scott, Hayle and Pryor it would most def be the best of Tressel's stay.

Rivals $

12/16

From O&B News...more of the same...recaps the Illinois visit and says he may visit UNC or Wisconsin in January or may make a decision soon.

I would be surprised if he TG Sr. didn't encourage him to take some more trips...

the recent committment of Shawntel only helps. Doesn't sound like the coaches are too confident with the other recruits coming if there is all this renewed interest from other recruits and schollies are flying out like candy.

Rowell said he's had an offer for 2 months...this has NOTHING to do with Pryor or Jenkins, or any other recruit. IMO, we may just have a few more spots open than we thought.
