Good luck to Cordale. He had to make the best decision for himself, and no one should feel pressured to go to Ohio State just because it's been the chic thing for Glenville kids.

Hey, att least when we play Illinois, he won't be one of the Ohio players that has a chip on his shoulder for not getting an offer from OState.

I agree with Sniper. This is a big time shocker.

I have to wonder with all of the speculation of him playing D @ tOSU made him question where he wanted to go.

I am sure The Zooker "candidly" communicated that he will play WR @ UI...

But if he ends up playing WR I am sure the media will mention something about how he has a chip on his shoulder since we wanted him on defense....:wink2:

It will be interesting to see if he stays at WR or if he agrees to a switch to safety because of need.
If he ends up at safety we could assume he was fed what he wanted to hear.
Time will tell.

I really don't think he ends up at safety at UI, especially if they land the 4 star kid from Maryland Okechuckwu Okoroha. IL has 4 on the roster right now, they want to move Brian Gamble back to S, and have the #1 Juco safety in the country coming in. It could happen, but he was recruited to play WR first.

One of the many things I love about this board is that it doesn't degrade or bash the player after spurning the favorite school, even for a player that after months of being considered a lead-pipe lock to the Bucks. No "we're better off without him" or "we can do better than him with (this guy)" or pointing out the players' various weaknesses. Lots of well wishes, which is what any Ohio HS football player deserves from its fans.

Good luck at Illinois, Cordale. You're stepping into a nice situation over there.

?I think everyone is excited about the depth right now on Ohio State?s roster,? Long said. ?Kids won?t normally say it, but early playing time is usually right at the top of their list. I guess I am not surprised by this. He wants to play early and he wants to play right now. He was probably going to redshirt at Ohio State.?
