'08 OH WR Cordale Scott (Illinois Signee; Transfer to Toledo)

BN II

2/19

By Gary H.... Cordale talks about his recruitment and his interest in the schools. He has been offered by Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Marshall, Bowling Green and Akron, but he says he's an Ohio boy and he goes to Glenville (you do the math).

How does this play out? Does the staff save a spot for Scott while he works on grades or do they take the guys that commit first and leave Scott out? Seems like we are in on a whole lot of "big" WR types this year.

Also, anybody feel like we are casting a bigger net this year. JT said we offerred 25 last year. Seems like we are already about there doesn't it?

If we get Posey and one of Floyd or Tate, I kind of doubt there is room left for him. However if we have an extra scholly toward the end, he may get one but he has to get those grades in order.

grad, wad, union..maybe you can clarify for me. I'm hearing that this is nearly identical to Small's situation grade wise (and of course that we are a clear number one), but they would like Scott to have his grades in better shape by the time he gets here than Small's were.

There is so much conflicting info out there right now that I couldn't give you a concrete answer. Glenville kids usually have the decent/manageable core GPAs but struggle with the standardized test scores. What I am piecing together is that the Small situation is a decent comparision in terms of GPA right now. However, hopefully Cordale will do better on the tests than Ray did.

If I had to bet right now, he will be in this class.

Not any of those guys, but I thought Small's problem was moreso the test score than than the grades. I understand it is sliding scale, but Small never got a great score on his test.

Scott has not got the results back from his test as of yet, or they are not reported yet, so it is a little hard to compare the 2 situations unless you are hearing from guys that know what grade he received on his test...

Junior year test results of kids considered to be "borderline" qualifiers are irrelevent at this point. They are simply used to get a feel for what needs to be done and which path to qualifying is needed. Most of them are not reported to schools or the sites.

Well of course unless he gets a good score of 20+ on the first time...
