'08 OH WR Cordale Scott (Illinois Signee; Transfer to Toledo)

Regardless of his 40 time, you can see that he has a very fluid stride and uses his body well despite the adjustment process. His future looks to be on the offensive side of the ball. It would be nice if we can land him as our big wideout to compliment Ray Small.

WOW. Much better then the 4.78 reported from the Scout AA combine. If he really is that fast, he is instantly at the top of my WR list with Floyd & Tate.

Maybe he just didn't know how to run a 40 properly? I really hate when people get all worked up over 40 times. I don't think coaches really look at that anyway. I think they look at the actual game-tapes (not the 30 second highlight clips we see) to see if the kid has football speed, and if that kid does they want him.

Ronald Johnson ran a 4.68-40 at the Nike camp when he was a sophomore but that didn't stop people from raving about him or teams from all over the country offering him a scholarship.

Even though I don't think I need to explain myself, but simply even with the reported 4.78, I still wanted him in Columbus bad. I have watched his film and seen how he plays. Now that I know he is able to run as fast as a sub 4.5 I want him at OSU even more. That's all I was trying to say.

How can you have one of the greatest classes in school history with only 13 ships?

[/quote]The chances of that remaining at 13 are quite low. I'd expect at least 17 after transfers (2 DBs to YSU - rumor), pro declarations (Jenkins, Gholston), and any other attrition (grades, career injuries, legal issues).

Also, there's an outside chance you could get a kid to grayshirt, since there will be 25 schollies available for 09.

Hope springs eternal during the spring of any recruiting season, but with a good shot at Pryor, Floyd, Scott, Posier, Rudolph, Adams, Shugarts, Long, Brewster, Jenkins, Rowell, Hale, Torrence... it's not hard to see why OSU fans are excited about the potential '08 class.

may be changing the title of the thread very soon???? :wink2:

Indeed.....poster on the OZone said he got a verbal offer today and will have it in writing by Friday.

Any chance he commits right away? Be good to get one on the board....esp a WR of Cordale's caliber!
