Aww man, I was already to bust that out and have everyone say, "Oh yeah he certainly reminds me of him, good call." Then I read you posted this. Bummer you beat me to it. He is the exact same phyiscal specimen though, he'd be a great pick-up for us.

12/5

By Steve Hare for OV...talks about his big state title game and about the whirlwind of recruiting that has started. Coaches from the likes of OSU, Kent State, NC State and WVU were in to see him. Isn't sure if he will play football or basketball at the next level.

That video makes Nick look like a 4 to 5 star recruit...if he had been able to put a whole season together like that as well as hit the combine/camp circuit, he wouldn't have been under the radar at all. From what we know Anderson was more of a running team this year and really didn't start getting Nick involved (or Nick didn't start getting himself involved) until about halfway through the season.

Still remains to be seen which route he will go at the next level...football or basketball.

I am now hearing that Nick now has an offer from Cincinnati.

This situation reminds me so much of Domminck Goodman from Colerain in 2004. He went into the state title game with zero D1 football offers (had accepted a D2 offer to play b-ball) and ran for 250+ yards against McKinnley.

UC offered late, Findlay let him out of his LOI and this past season Goody was UC's leading receiver.

.....the kid is excellent at using his hands to catch the ball......he has the ability to make people miss.....and surprisingly good speed....

An offer at this point is not a "stretch" by the staff, IMHO. A red shirt year is all he would need to learn scheme and technique....he already has all the other tools.

i am not surprised that tOSU has jumped at this opportunity. J. Heacock was in attendance at this game and much like most of northeast he was probably on the phone calling and telling people what a "Freak" this kid is. I would love to see him in a buckeyes uniform if we the scholarships to offer.

Ok...that film was sick. As Wad said, it made him look like a 5 star WR. I can't say that I have seen a 6'7 215 WR move like that in well...I don't know if I have. Great speed for his size, good hops, great hands, excellent body control, and good lateral acceleration. I would LOVE to see us offer Nick...huge sleeper and I wouldn't be surprised to see the offers flood in. It's to bad there isn't a combine later on in the year for kids like Truesdell to go to because he is a risk since that was just one game but the staff knows what to look for and the potential is there.

What really impressed me about the film was his concentration. There were 3-4 catches made in traffic. Is this a break-out game or just a blip on the radar? I'm glad I don't have to make these decesions. No doubt he was a stud in this game.

My one and only question is this...

Yeah he looked like a stud on that film, and like he could be a top 5 receiver, but my question is has he been doing that on a consistent basis all year, and if not does the staff feel he can on a consistent level on the college level, and if the staff feels there are spots open then I have no problem with an offer here...

This is why they make the decisions like Texasbuck said...
