'08 OH WR Trey Fairchild (Syracuse signee; transfer to EKU; transfer to Otterbein)

Very impressive prospect. The one thing that seemed to stand out to me was his gear when he turned up field, nothing but forward and headed there in a hurry. I also liked that even when the sideline was there he NEVER seemed to shy away from contact. You've gotta love that.

I think Trey, along with all other receivers this year not named Kenny Tate, or the top notch blue chip OOS guys will have to earn their offers in camp. There are a lot of talented receivers who have a lot of interest in OSU, but considering the fact that 08 is a small class, there isn't much room.

We could see Trey, Johnny Adams, Cordale Scott, Brandon Green, Devier Posey, and Jake Stoneburner competing for 2 wide receiver spots with guys like Preaster, Sales, Tate, and others in the mix too. I'm guessing those guys won't be at camp, but you get the idea. Lots of interest and talent, but not many spots.

^^^ I agree, that is why "interest" is the key word. I am not even sure how interested tOSU is in Trey. He gets a couple of texts a week, but we certainly know if any offer is given it will come at camp for all of these guys. Providing Trey makes it too camp. He can only hit so many and it will depend on where the interest is the highest. Just what we are finding out. We have always been OSU fans, but the recruiting thing is so different.

^^^^^ hard to get the northern boys on there, that is true...we felt fortunate. Trey, Mike Adams and Jacob Stoneburner received their invitations to play in his All-American Senior Bowl game next year.
