If five leave, won't we have 18 slots total?

Personally, I hope we only have 15 slots. I think Boone comes back, and I think Gholston comes back. Jenkins I don't know about.

Anyways, I'd like to see the class finish with:

Hale
Sweat
Pryor
Goebel
McCarthy
Jenkins
Scott

This assumes 15 schollies available.

If we get more, then I'd hope for
Rowell, Floyd, another Dline prospect(sleeper variety I'd guess) in that order.

- Almost identical to Wad's...Long or Tate are 2 guys I could easily see in this class. Not to mention I tend to think we get or go after 1 more DB type out of Rahim Moore, EJ Woods, or Lamaar Thomas. Possibly even Johnny Adams or Trey Fairchild.

So I believe everyone is in agreement that we will pull in Pryor, Scott, Jenkins, Goebell, Rowell, Sweat, Zordich, Hale, McCarthy...

So that would give us 17...


Then there are guys like Pead, Woods, Thomas, Tate, Floyd, Fuller, Beachum, Moore, Adams, McGuffie, Shaw, Sanders that in a full year of 25 would all have offers...

So it will be fun to watch this class play out and see what the staff can do in terms of getting the max # of guys in this class...

Well some guys would probably either be pressed to jump on board or left off, but tt is hard to tell who would be left off and who wouldnt be...

Pryor - difficult
Scott - yes
Jenkins - probably (maybe WVU)
Goebel - probably (maybe ND)
Rowell - needs work to get an offer
Sweat - yes
Zordich - yes
Hale - difficult
McCarthy - possibly (maybe ND)

I like the Buckeyes' chances with Fuller, even though his father went to Texas A+M.
I'm not counting Long out of the mix yet.
There's always someone (usually a DB like Jenkins, Chekwa, Pentello) who emerges from left field.

With 8 already in the fold, I would have to say we ned up with 16-17 after early departures and graduation. Here are my final 8:

QB: Terrelle Pryor
ATH: Sam McGuffie
WR: Cordale Scott
OL: Josh Jenkins
DT: Garrett Goebel
LB: Andrew Sweat
LB: Shayne Hale
LB: Michael Zordich

Dan McCarthy - ND
Shawntel Rowell - no offer
Jeffrey Fuller - TA&M
Brandon Moore - UGA/UF
Kyle Long - baseball

If we can get one more, I would like a DLman and Rowell would be it. However, we have youthful depth at DT and DE, and it seems as though guys like Marcus Hall and John Simon are goin to be studs in 2009 along the DL in Ohio.

With two rumored transfers to YSU and Malcolm Jenkins most likely leaving after this season, we could very well have 16 ships--if not a couple more--to hand out for this class.

I wouldn't be surprised to see 3 transfers...even 4 after this year although 4 is rare and 3 is perhaps unlikely, this team is getting very deep at some positions and a few heads just don't seem to be rising on the depth chart.
