Yeah, I doubt that. According to all of your fans you guys are "loaded" at running back. Like 6 deep. hahaha.

I'm not saying we're not loaded right now and next year, just that we haven't recruited a running back last year or this year. Dean could play early or take a redshirt. We don't really need him to play early with Scott, Williams, Murphy and Holliday all returning, but he could still contribute or take a redshirt. Although next year there is a big time RB prospect from Louisiana, Michael Ford. If Dean takes a redshirt year, by the time he's a sophomore, him, Richard Murphy, and Michael Ford could be a very potent rushing attack.

THE RECRUITING GUY : Top-notch RB visiting Arkansas
RICHARD DAVENPORT

Arkansas will be hosting one of the nation's most highly sought running backs on an official visit this weekend.

Aundre Dean visited Tuesday with Arkansas defensive line coach Bobby Allen at his school in Katy, Texas. Dean, 6-1, 205 pounds, 4. 48 seconds in the 40-yard dash, has the speed and power to dominate a game.

Dean has taken official visits to Louisville and Alabama and will travel to UCLA after visiting Arkansas and Texas A&M.

"I'm going up to A&M this Thursday for a couple of days and watch some video,"he said. "[Coach ] Mike Sherman is going to tell me what he wants to do with the offense and show me how I would fit in.

"That would be my five schools that I'm really considering, but I'm just narrowing it down every weekend."

Or perhaps there's simply no room left for him????
True, and that was kind of what was meant by my comment as well. No reason to think we wouldn't have a great shot if we really truly went after/had room for Aundre, but it looks like we are in crunch time and with 3 guys (Wells, Pryor, Jenkins) all looking positive for us, then we probably won't have room. I would imagine he still comes to visit though in case something happens with our "top" 3.

I would agree if we didnt already have Flash coming in and Herron redshirted this season. No need to force the issue when the top 3 left on our board need to reeled in for sure in the next few weeks. I would love to have him but if our Big 3 come in..... who really needs a running back! :wink2:
