Cousins is considered the #1 player in the 2009 class according to Rivals.com. Big time prospect in many ways. Outstanding physical prospect who can play facing the basket and gets after it in attack mode. Will hurt you inside. Works on his game.

Currently listing Alabama, UAB, Duke, Florida, Missouri, Ohio State and Texas.

  2. If Matta could pull this off, He would become a recruiting legend.

Cousins excelled at all of the major AAU events this summer. Cousins averaged 21 points, 14 rebounds and six blocks a game as a freshman. Duke, Ohio State, Texas, Alabama, Florida are just a few of the schools in contact. He may visit Alabama in the fall.

At the Peach State Classic......Cousins going against Derrick Favors, the #3 ranked sophmore in the country, struggled in a loss...... 7 points, 8 rebounds, 7 blocks.

My Take: He is so big already, he his strong down low, He has a little 12 foot jumper to go along with some nice moves inside, can also handle the ball a little...The thing that I seen was how he looked kinda stiff getting off the floor, not sure that he would be a real force in terms of blocking shots, he is more of a power guy that will use his stregth to rebound by boxing out...Not sure if he will stay the number one guy in this class...Top 10 for sure, just not sure if he is the #1...

At the USA Festival: Day One......Cousins is currently 6-10 and 252 pounds. Cousins played well, over powering most opponents and consistently hitting his perimeter shot.
