'09 FL CB Jayron Hosley (VA Tech Signee)

JT always seems to find a late suprise under the radar player. Last year it was Howard. I like what i see. We are loading up with DB's who can run.

He's actually just new to our radar, he is a 4 star top 25 player in Florida, and the #11 CB in the country on Rivals. I thought the same thing though but he has actually been gathering a lot of hype well before our offer.

It sounds like Jayron would look awfully good in S&G. Great speed, great cover skills, good size, and very versatile, a trait that JT looks for with his speed, big speed and power recruiting approach. Let's keep the Sunshine State pipeline open.

Hosley, currently ranked the fourth-best prospect in the county, is garnering heavy interest from big-time schools. Recently, Ohio State and Michigan jumped in the picture with Hosley and offered him a scholarship. Hosley will visit Michigan in January and Ohio State is expected to stop by the school today. Hosley has only taken one official visit, to Louisville. Clemson and South Florida have continued to show interest.

Reason for no big 3 likely has to do with a lot of the other schools being full up at his position. Even Miami already got their guy in Brandon McGee. Before this season, he was a blip on the radar screen, bright, but not right up there.

Although, I do believe he is about the same size as James Scott was and no different than Mike Edwards, who a lot of people want to offer. Edwards may indeed get his offer, but I don't think it will be until we realize just exactly where we stand with J.R. here. Hosley can do so many things on the field as a return man, and possibly a WR (though if any of our CB's from this class move to offense I would have to think it be Justin Green). The staff wants another DB in this class, and probably a pure corner, as either Brown or Barnett could be Safeties. I, personally, would like another Safety to take McDougald's spot, but that's just me.

The Delray Beach Atlantic CB got an official offer from VaTech last week and will be visiting Blacksburg Jan 30th.
Jayron didn't give me any idea who leads, but my gut is telling me the Hokies with the Brandon Flowers connection.

I really wanted this guy. I think he can come in and play from day one at Michigan. Maybe RR can wow him on his visit. When is his visit to AA again?
Jan 16 he heads to Michigan. They got to sell him on starting as a true freshman.
