Says Ohio State has been in contact, has visited his practice and is #1 on his list. Says several schools are waiting on his test scores on June 14th. Plans on visiting Ohio State, Florida State, LSU & South Carolina.

Started a thread because of the high interest in Ohio State & because of his mention of the staff being in contact with him. Mods feel free to do what you want with this thread....

Grades?

Or long way because Berry and Hyde are looking good for us at the moment?

Not wad, but.....

I would say both at the moment.....though they could be looking at him at a different position. Time will tell.....

Edit: As long as his grades are in line, I think he'd be pretty tough to pass up....

You do not risk Berry to take Ward IMO. Ward is a talent in his own right though.

Here is a video interview with him from March 30th (found it rather entertaining).

He also apparently won the RB MVP at the UM camp in April of this year.

"I'm the best in the naaation!"

"I was rapin' 'em!"

Those two quotes made me laugh out loud. It may sound like he's being arrogant or cocky, but he was just playing around, the kid is very likeable and has quite the personality.

Just wondering what makes you say this when his only 2 offers are Troy and Toledo and the Buckeyes are leading for a bunch of guys who have offers from everyone.

I completely agree with you there. I wasn't suggesting that we pass on anyone, especially Berry. Just stating that he'd be tough to pass up :p

Based on highlights I've seen, this kid is a great athlete. Just because someone doesn't have offers from everyone in the Nation, doesn't mean they aren't worthy of one. In the article I posted, it states that many schools are waiting to see his test scores before extending an offer.

This kid is talented and all, but if we get either Hyde or Berry, won't we be set at RB for a while? And this class has pretty much solidified our DBs, so would there even be any room for this kid? I'd like to see him in S&G, and he's got skills but he might be one that gets away because of room.

By Newberg....Per Ward he has offers from Miami, Ohio State, South Carolina, Toledo and others. Top 3 of South Carolina, Ohio State & Florida State and plans on visiting all three schools this fall. Talks about his interest in all three of his favorites.

He wasn't quoted in the article stating that he had an offer from Ohio State, so TIFWIW.

From GamecockCentral....Says he is looking the hardest at Ohio State, Rutgers, Miami (FL), Florida State & South Carolina. Talks about his interest in each of the programs. Plans on narrowing his list to five before his season starts, taking his five officials and then making a decision.
