Vlad says that his official offer from tOSU will be coming next Wednesday per Coach Haynes. He is very excited about it and will be attending the Spring Game. UConn has offered, Louisville has said an offer is coming, and USF and Michigan are starting to recruit him harder.

Vlad is a newer guy on the scene... Could be yet another under-the-radar FL stud that tOSU has jumped in on first/early...

I didn't know DB was going to be such a strong point of emphasis. We already have Wood and Barnett and we've offered Turner, Hunter, McGee, Emilien, Banks, and Givens and seem to be in pretty decent shape with all of them. Plus there are a few other strong candidates for offers. Could there be up to 5 DB's in this class?

I would think... This year we lose Malcolm, Jamario, Shaun Lane, and Nick Patterson... Then when the class of '09 enrolls we will have (assuming no early departures) Anderson, Kurt, Donald, Gant, and Amos all in their final year of eligibility... And after bringing in only 3 possible DB's this year (Domicone could grow into an LB and Johnson could end up on offense just as easily), we will need a big influx...

I'd be okay with that...

Ideally I would like to see Givens, McGee, and Turner to go with Wood and Barnett. However, I just watched his film:

Good size, amazing hustle, flys to the ball, rangy, and hits pretty hard. He needs to wrap up better and the film didn't really showcase his coverage skills. I'm not real sure what to think about Emilien yet...I thought he was good, but I'd rather have Turner at this point (though he could be a tough get). I think the ability is there and while he didn't strike me as an instant offer (key word is me), I think this could be legit.
