I don't know if he's starting, but, he has 22 tackles on the year, ninth best for Illinois, so he's playing significant minutes.

For his career: 88 yards rushing, 2 TD's; 102 tackles, 0 INT's; two-time Academic All Big Ten. Not exactly what you'd expect from a "top 100" prospect.

Justin Green - 1st or 2nd team All B10 CB (Hawthorne will be one so they may not give it to Green even if he deserves it). Hawthorne is the best CB in the conference/nation, but Green is special too. He is in the tier right under Hawthorne with 3 other CB's in the B10 (Roby, Allen, Adams). Green might be better than them though because he is the fastest with Hawthorne (Probably faster...both sub 4.3 types). Coverage wise he's arguably the best. He has improved to the point where I think his playmaking ability at CB will start to show even more in terms of interceptions. I think Green emerges as a major threat because offenses will be reluctant to throw at Hawthorne. Offensively he also has special talent and I think he will factor in there with at least 3 or 4 TD's. Like Foster, 3rd round pick at least with the chance to be a top 25-50 pick.

Well, the fact remains that the University of Illinois didn't hire Justin to be a great student, but rather to be a great athlete who could maintain minimum eligibility requirements. So Justin hasn't really lived up to his end of the bargain.

This. Justin is on an athletic scholarship, not an academic one. Yeah, it's wonderful he is doing really well in the classroom, but that doesn't win football games, and that's is what the University of Illinois brought him in to do.
