'09 KY ATH Justin Green (Illinois Signee)

So do I. Stud in his own right and would make me forget not getting McGee (not saying we do not get him) rather quickly.

McGee is a good CB prospect, but Green's stats, highlight film, track accolades and OSU-legacy-status make him a much more desirable prospect on either side of the ball in my eyes. With 2000 all-purpose yards and 10.54 speed, I wouldn't be surprised if he played WR/special teams if he were to end up at OSU.

I'm looking at strictly skill sets, not the legacy stuff. I think both McGee and Green would make excellent offensive weapons. I know McGee likes CB, but it is hard for me to see a guy who has those skills with the ball in his hands on defense. Same with Green.

They both have advantages and disadvantages IMO. Not mad at either.....

By A Bone. Green enjoyed his trips to Alabama and Tennesse, and has trips coming up to Ohio State and Illinois. He has no favorites, and says he won't have a list ready until August or September.

We have Wood, Barnett, and Clarke in the bag and it sounds like Brown, Green, and maybe even McDougald too could all join them before the month is out. Emilien is in too but that probably won't be public until July or so. If we get all those guys then it doesn't look good for McGee one would think, and I think McGee would probably be the top DB prospect in our class should we sign him. Do we hold a spot for him and turn down Green or McDougald?

BG - Kevin Noon - 06/17/08

Justin will be traveling to Columbus today, and will stay through camp on Friday. Green claims that he wants to check out other schools before deciding.

Scout - Marcus Hartman - 06/17/08

Justin discusses his upcoming trip to Ohio State, and reiterates that he wants to take his time before making a decision.

I don't know about Justin taking his time. From a few sources that seem pretty close to the situation, he is expected to play college ball here. Here's one source (Bukibill) on the freeboard at BN

I am not surprised one bit! My head is spinning thinking about all those possible commits this week/weekend. Not that it really matters, this recruiting class should be rated the undisputed #1 class in the country after this week!
