'09 NC PG John Wall (Kentucky Verbal)

I could see Oklahoma State but Baylor would certainly be a surprise to me. I thought for sure he would go to a ACC school since he is from North Carolina. Just surprising.

I was going to make a horrible joke about Baylor but I'll refrain. Drew @ Baylor is tapped into Africans and anyone that's highly Christian.

Drew isn't gonna be happy about this one. I'm wondering if he didn't just silent verbal to Baylor and is doing this to keep heat off them.
Looks like he might not be following his AAU coach after all.

This comes as somewhat of a surprise but it looks like Wall is now looking at Virginia, NC State, and Memphis with the Wolfpack seeming to be the leader. His mama would like for him to play close to home and Raleigh is pretty close to his home.

Don't get excited

I watched ESPNu late signing basketball program last night for about 10 minutes and they said that Wall might challenge the NBA as far as he is concerned because he will be 19 years old this September and attended high school for 5 years so he is one year away from his high school graduation date. Being 19 and one year away from her high school graduation date are the two criteria that are in the NBA CBA right now so he could be draft eligible without having to go to college or Europe.

They also displayed some video and he is a player and very very quick.

Not really. He's NBA ready now. He'd be a top ten, if not top five pick. Only thing that would hurt him is that a lot of teams probably haven't scouted him a lot yet. He'd easily be the second PG taken in the draft.

Young PGs are rarely ready for the NBA and I can't think of one high school point guard that made an impact.

I watched some of that under 19 US versus the world all-star game from Portland last Saturday night. No prediction on what happens from here, but Wall in an undeniable NBA level talent. Tremendous athletism. Another 1 and done if OSU had somehow landed him.
