'09 OH ATH Justin Turner (Michigan signee, Hawaii commit)

Everyone please refresh yourself on the rules:

http://www.buckeyeplanet.com/forum/...ruiting-forum-rules-everyone-please-read.html

5) Do not try to contact or influence a recruit on this board. While it is acceptable to relate the strengths of the Ohio State University in a general way, please do not cross the line and start begging, pleading, cajoling, etc. recruits to become Buckeyes. Not only is such conduct often counterproductive (the school and the football program should be able to "sell" themselves, and the coaching staff doesn't really need your help), it could also be a violation of NCAA recruiting rules. All "open letters" to recruits will be deleted. Simply, if you tell a recruit he needs to be a Buckeye because of X, Y, and Z...you are crossing the line.

That goes for mothers as well...let's knock off the open letters to Turner's mom.

Also, alluding to swearing is the same as swearing when it comes to the recruiting forum...I am sick and tired of asking people to stop posting stuff like that. I don't care if you are new to BP or not...I am not asking anymore and am going to start handing out infractions.

I concur.. he could easily play CB.. i think all he needs is some stability in regards to position, and some coaching up and he could be a great player.. I think at times he looks a little out of place, but his athleticism and ability are clear to see..

I've been going back and forth between he and Wood in regards to better Safety prospect.. and while I think Jamie is more technically sound and has a better feel for the position, Turner is still the better prospect in my book looking long term.. He has a little more speed and a little more natural fluidity to his game

I agree, With his size I really like him as a safety and ability to play the run and cover if need be...

Really don't want to lose this one to Michigan...

Great player...he reminds me of Jamario O'Neal's HS film a bit. I think Wood is the better player right now but Turner may be the better prospect. I could see an arguement for either one being the top DB in the state, but you would have to throw Barnett in there too, so best safety prospect anyways. It's nice to know we can stay in state for DB's if we have to this year and it will be interesting to see if we can sway him from the bad guys.
