Hoopster Mathis Could Be Top '09 Candidate.......Mathis is considered raw but very athletic. Played at World Harvest his junior along with B.J. Mullens. Averaged 11.5 points, 7.3 rebounds coming off the bench. Ohio State is recruiting him and he calls being a Buckeye would be a dream come true.

Agree regarding the height especially if we do not get Orton. Wondering if any posters saw while he at World Harvest. BJ would be very familiar with him:)

I'm almost positive that he would only have two years of eligibility left. He has some classroom work that still needs completed.

Since he played JUCO last year, and is being recruited this year as an 09 recruit, then he'd HAVE TO HAVE only 2 yrs eligibility when he arrived for the 09-10 season.

If a scholarship is available:(, I would almost want to bank it for the 2010 guys. We have quite a few leapers as it is and 6'7" does not do a whole lot for me but it really depends if he is a big 6'7" were a small 6'7". In my opinion, there is a difference.

I meant as far as length. I remember the guy who you're talking about. I am just saying that when guys get measured sometimes the "measurer" might stretch something.

Not my first choice but basketball recruiting is so fluid for OSU who knows what might happen

Out of curiosity, I wondered where/if he'd signed with anyone. I googled him and found him on the University of WEST FLORIDA site. Never heard of them but that seems to be where he landed.

I will save some people some time:wink2: West Florida is located in Pensacola and as an undergraduate population of around 9000. Sounds interesting:)
