'09 OH OL Chris Freeman (Missouri Signee)

Man if I lose another kid from my school to scUM I'm gonna cry. I don't see what there is to evaluate if he is getting offers from the two schools that handled OSU two games in a row for it all. I'll support him, but...DAMN that would suck if he goes up north.

Just because he is a fit at those two schools doesn't mean he is for Ohio State. It just means he has the overall talent level to play at this level. Keep that in mind.

I agree with the post that stated he isn't your prototypical Rich Rod O-lineman though.

Interested to hear about how he does in camp and his senior year.

I have not watched the video, but it would be hard for somebody that big to move well as a OT, imo. Stick him a guard and let him be a mandhandler vs. opposing bullrushers at DT.

Jonathon Ogden and Jared Gaither of the Baltimore Ravens are both 6'9". Mike Adams and J.B. Shugarts are both 6'8". Why can't he be an OT?

Every year their seems to be an offensive lineman from Ohio that gets offered by everyone, and not OSU. Freeman is looking like that guy this year. Plus he's from Trotwood, and we don't seem to have much of a relationship with that school for whatever reason. IMO, I doubt he sees and offer...

There can't be any success without at least an offer. I hope he gets an offer too. I feel the same way as being just a fan who thinks he knows some answers, but I really feel he should get an offer. It might be me being a homer for the Rams/Buckeyes.:oh::io:

FWIW

I'm not quite sure why he says he will 'definitely be visiting LSU, UF, PSU. It is in fact, questionable whether or not the kid even has an offer from Penn State - and he probably isn't getting one...we prefer to offer those who are genuinely interested in Penn State. Eric Shrive [PA], Brennan Williams [MD], Anthony LaLota [NJ], Peter White [DC], etc. There are many OTs in PA, MD, VA that will receive offers/focus from Penn State = meaning Chris Freeman is probably one too many OH OT offered by Penn State.

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't it still February of '08? Plenty of time for the staff to evaluate this kid...they already have three targets for OL for '09 (Mewhort, Watt, Hall) that they feel pretty good about and some other national prospects sitting with offers (Nixon, Shrive).

Found a couple pics of Chris on Trotwood's site. He's #77.
