'09 OH RB/DB Darrell Mason (Ft. Scott Junior College Signee)

Mason and Ferrell are two kids who got u excited with their sophomore film and size.. but have likely grown out of safety/RB and LB respectively..

Now it's a matter of seeing how they can adapt to new positions, and how they project at those positions down the line..

Still excited about both of them. extremely in fact. More excited about Ferrell than Klein. More excited about Mason than any Ohio safety on the board except maybe Allen.

Mason is an excellent hitter, so it makes sense to put him on defense. His combination of size and speed on top of that might be too much for the coaches to look away. Who knows, a bigger Mike Doss?

I was at the State title Game for ursiline against marion local and Darrel definetly belongs on defense he is good on defense but looking at him I personally think he might outgrow the safety position he looked around 6'1 210-215

I really think that if the staff projects him as a safety I fell that he will get an offer...I think LB is loaded, and RB I am not sure that he has what the staff is looking for to be able to play RB here...

Agreed...I think he gained too much weight for this season. If he gets back down to around 200, I think he will be much more effective. I would love a safety class of Mason, Allen, and/or Turner.
