Shaping up to become one of the elite players in his class. Reminds me of Marvin Williams because of his versatility, athleticism and option to play multiple forward slots. Will attack, score and comfortable with the basketball in his hands. Elite player nationally.

I will see if I can dig anything up, but last time I checked he was all Wisky...

Kid is a player tho...

I have recently heard he wants to stay close to home so he's either Wisconsin or Marquette. The Badgers haven't recruited a bonafied small forward since seemingly forever....so the depth chart is in our favor. It's pretty much all 1/2's and 4/5's between '06 and '08. He is the top priority for UW in '09.

After some relative lulls in '07 and '08, the following two recruiting classes should be loaded in the state. If the Badgers can capitalize.....watch out. SF/PF Jeronne Maymon has been one of the top performers at national camps amongst players his age. But he might fall thru the cracks because of his grades. PG Johnny Lacy and PF Thomas King already have multiple major offers. In '10, PG/SG/SF Flavian Davis and C Evan Anderson, should be in the top 30 or so in their class. Both already have multiple major offers before their sophomore years. Flavian Davis is a stud! Was better than Jamil Wilson in AAU as the younger player.

Not to get too far off topic...

Good I think the big ten is on the upswing in terms of improving as a conference...

tOSU, MSU, IU, and if Wisky gets back on track after I envision a slight down year this year and then Ill will be back, and then maybe a team like Michigan with a new coach(michigan is a great bball state in terms of talent), and maybe Tubby can put Minny on the map, we would have a solid conference and maybe we could start winning some of these big ten/acc challenges...

I'll relay a post from RecruitingPlanet from someone who claims to have a personal relationship with Jamil:

Hey, guys im a first time poster have been on this site for a while tho, but I thought I would shed a bit of light on Jamil Wilson for you.I live in Racine and have played ball with and against Jamil since he was in 7th grade. From what he told me he is practicly a lock to go to UW, the reason that he keeps saying that he is wide open is because he wants to maybe get one of the players from his school a scholarship with all of the coaches coming down. Now I know you may say well why would he care about those kids its because he is honestly one of the nicest people you will meet in your life, kinda like another Racine product that played at Uconn. I know you may not believe me but just remeber that I was the one who said he was going to UW

Also you guys will absolutely love him as a player and person.

I can't speak about the poster's credibility as it was his inaugaral post. However, I have no reason not to believe him, because if he would have claimed to be an insider for attention one would think he would appear at a board with more activity.

In spite of this info, I've had some pessimism about Wisconsin's chances lately because he classified the Badgers as a team who slows it down. Most wouldn't associate that perceived style as something positive and fitting of their abilities, therefore an in state team like Marquette might be to his liking. Also, they can highlight Dwyane Wade as a superstar who was developed in our program where we can only showcase a Devin Harris. I have heard Jamil would prefer to stay in state. The claim that Michigan State has an inside track is unfounded.

By Meyer...says Wisconsin and Marquette are recruiting him the hardest. Starting to hear a lot from USC and is also being recruiting (and offered) by Tennessee, Ohio State, Purdue, Michigan State, Baylor and Iowa State.
