'09 WI PF Jamil Wilson (Oregon Verbal)

Supposedly Bo Ryan told one of the other UW prospects from the '09 class, Jordan Prosser, that a player may be leaving from the current team in the coming months.

You can read it yourself in a Rivals' article from today. Prosser/UW

Scoop, you can relay that information to all the stooges over at SpartanTailgate, also.

Prosser also said Bo Ryan told him as long as they're recruiting him, that means he has a spot available on his team. I don't see why that wouldn't apply to Wilson, who they're also still recruiting.

Marquette or Wisconsin.

I have no idea where he will end up but sometimes you have to remember where an article is posted.

Yep. Why didn't the author use quotes if it came from his mouth? It would seem he'd have an impetus to prove the source for the statement was genuine. Top 4? Or 4 biggest names interested in the opinion of that writer. He only has an offer from one of those schools.

The author is Sam Hosey Jr, of PrepSpotlight.com, who happens to be diehard North Carolina fan and occasionally passes an article on to the local paper should it involve a prospect who's considering MSU. If he was letting any personal bias affect his writing, he wouldn't've included Duke in the list of "4 biggest names interested in the opinion of that writer." :wink2:

Crean just took a 2009 wing player leaving him with only one scholarship for 2009 if, as expected, IU loses a scholarship due to APR sanctions.

Crean officially has no offer left for Wilson, given that IU will lose one to APR sanctions and having taken six total for the 2008 class and four for 2009 (plus two holdovers). Looks like it's down to Duke, Kansas, MSU, UCLA, Marquette, and UW (if Bo decides to boot someone like Bernini insists he will).

I never said he would boot a player. Just that a player might be considering leaving on his own volition. And more than one player per year on average during Bo's tenure has left the program. Just playing the odds there would be a scholarship open for Jamil when he's ready to decide.

Turns out Jordan Prosser is flat out making stuff up because UW hasn't talked to him in several months:

UW Men's Basketball: UW men's basketball: Rivals report on possible transfer called erroneous

Looks like Bo's done with the 2009 class, leaving Jamil with exactly five schools to use his alotted five official visits on. :wink2:

Dude Wisky will have a ship open for Jamil Wilson...It would be like BJ Mullens waiting to decide and tOSU not holding a ship for him...

What's his incentive for making it up? He already received the early offer from Wisconsin, so that's his selling point to other programs. Whether or not Wisconsin has scholarships left is irrelevant to his stock in the recruiting world.

Of course the staff would cover up a leak of a possible transfer. You think they're going to let fans speculate about who could be leaving? No way. That would mean negative scrutiny for several kids, and pressure being put on the specific player to leave the program. They don't want to push anyone out.

It's well past that point, though. Wisconsin has already NOT held a ship for Jamil Wilson. They've already handed out every scholarship they have available for the class of 2009.

So what you are telling me is that if Wilson told Bo Ryan that he was going to commit to him that he wouldn't have a spot for him?
