Cornerback Tony Grimes (Hollywood, Fla./Hollywood Hills) picked up an offer from Miami (Fla.) this week. With the offer, the Hurricanes become the team to beat as Grimes has mentioned several times a preference to staying in the state of Florida to play college football. His stock has risen a great deal in recent weeks.

By Newberg...Alabama has offered...his offer list now includes Alabama, Miami, Maryland, Michigan, West Virginia, Iowa, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, Purdue, South Florida, Southern Miss, Vanderbilt and Toledo.

Yeah you like how i redid his highlight over again...After we sent out his highlight again Tony has blew up.....per a text message he said its going to be a real tough decision. He was realing just waiting on the UGA offer and was going to commit but they slow played it. Now with da U offer in hand he was going to take that but he wanted to wait and see what o-state did. Now he has an o-state offer. So it's going to be between those 3. To be honest, in the beginging all he wanted was a offer from da U. I help convince him to open up to the possiblity of leaving home and getting away. After an UGA visit he was in love them and really wanted an offer and to commit there. But now he's in a tough position he say. You already i talked up OSU for a couple of months so he was really trying to get noticed by them. Me and a couple of other coaches really pushed Hayes and Fricell (something like that) to come see him...and that was when he only had 1 offer from FAU. Im just glad the young man as options now. It's going to be hard turning down DA U for him...unless they just get creamed this yr o O-state shows him a great time. I'll do this, i tell him to make his official visit for the USC game how about that? He's going up to Mich either this weekend coming or next though...

Someone should let Mr. Grimes know its not worth the trip.

He should cut the trip short by a few miles and stop a little south in Cbus where he can see a real stadium, a real football team, a great University.

If Tony got an offer from The Ohio State, he must be a playa. Congratulations, Tony!! He'll find out on 9/12 what Buckeye Nation is all about.....
